Case Details
The plaintiff filed suit against a homeowner client alleging significant injuries as a result of a dog bite sustained by her minor son. The nine-year-old boy was chased down a dirt road and attacked by the defendant’s dog. The plaintiff’s demand was $50,000.
Additional Notes
The Massachusetts strict liability dog bite statute was applicable. We successfully arbitrated this case and were able to limit the arbitrator’s award to the plaintiff to $5,000.
