Battery

Client was arrested and charged with Battery. It was a self-defense and defense of others situation. We filed a Motion to Dismiss based upon the Stand Your Ground Law. After a hearing, the Motion was Granted by the Judge.

Grand Theft of a Firearm

Client was arrested for allegedly stealing a firearm. Early intervention ended in the State deciding to NO INFO/ Not File Charges against our client.

Drug Possession

During a traffic stop, our client's vehicle was searched based upon the appearance of marijuana. Our client was arrested for Possession of Heroin, Possession of Xanax and Possession of Paraphernalia. After we exposed issues with the stop, probable cause and constructive possession, the prosecutor abandoned the prosecution of this case and our client was cleared of all charges.

False Name to Officer

Our client was charged with giving a false name to a law enforcement officer. After completing the legal research, we filed a Motion to Dismiss and provided the case law to the State Attorney's office. The Motion was set for hearing in front of the Judge. The State dismissed the case before the hearing.

Resisting Arrest

Client charged with Resisting Arrest. 3 law enforcement officers testified against the client at trial. Jury rendered a very fast Not Guilty Verdict.

Disorderly Conduct and Affray

Our client was charged with affray and disorderly conduct after an alleged fight; We filed and argued a Motion to Dismiss due to lack of evidence and double jeopardy. After a hearing, the Judge dismissed the case.
