Drunk Driver Accident, Underinsured Motorist (UIM)

My 45 year old client was driving his vehicle home from the gym when a DUI driver crossed over into his lane, striking his vehicle and causing him serious surgical injuries. Fixing his car cost over $14,000. Due to the DUI of the at fault driver, I was quickly able to convince the insurance company to pay the maximum limits on the policy. The real fight in this case was with my client’s own insurance company on the UIM (underinsured motorist) policy. My client required a neck surgery because of the accident, but his insurance company refused to pay the additional monies needed that he had contracted with them for. Dog Bite

My 9 year old client was playing outside in her front yard. Her neighbor encouraged her to come pet his dog, a pit bull. She was reluctant and said no several times, but the neighbor continued to ask her and told her he was a nice dog. When she approached, the dog immediately attacked her face causing serious lacerations to her nose and lip. She was rushed by ambulance for surgery at the children’s hospital. The surgeon did excellent work repairing the face and nose but told her parents that she would likely need more surgeries as she grew up. Even with such terrible injuries and clear fault, the neighbor’s insurance company dragged their feet and refused to pay the maximum monies of the home insurance policy. They tried to offer a lower sum of money that was unfair. After the family hired me, I quickly settled the case for the maximum monies of the insurance policy because I threatened to sue. Motorcycle Accident

My 42 year old client was riding her Harley Davidson and making a left hand turn on the highway when a speeding Toyota 4Runner hit her head on, causing catastrophic injury, loss of leg, and partial paralysis. Bicycle Accident

My 9 year old client was riding his bicycle in front of his house when a speeding woman crashed into him, fracturing his femur. The driver’s insurance company tried to blame the child and refused to settle. An independent witness (neighbor) provided a written statement confirming the woman's speeding and prior dangerous driving, leading to a settlement for excellent compensation.

Car Accident, Brain Injury

My client was stopped at a red light when a driver fell asleep at the wheel, crossed lanes, and hit his driver’s side door, knocking him unconscious. He suffered a brain injury with severe headaches, memory/speech problems, and inability to work as an electrician. The insurance company refused fair compensation, blaming prior events.
