Criminal Defense

Appellate court overturned the conviction of client Neves Davis for aggravated discharge of a firearm and aggravated battery with a firearm, finding the prosecution failed to sustain its burden of proof beyond a reasonable doubt and that the State did not overcome the Defendant’s self-defense claim. This led to reversal of convictions and acquittal.

Criminal Defense

Client Marcos Camargo pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and received a 14-year prison sentence, which could be reduced to less than four years with good time credit, having already served over three years.

Criminal Defense - Drug Charges

Client Marcus Gant was facing a Class X felony charge for possession of controlled substances (6-30 years in prison). Attorney Cosmo Tedone successfully argued the drugs belonged to someone else, and Mr. Gant was found not guilty.

Criminal Defense - Weapons Charges

Client Eric Ervins was facing 3-14 years imprisonment for a Class 2 felony charge of unlawful use of a weapon by a felon. A motion to quash a search warrant and suppress evidence was won, making illegally obtained evidence inadmissible.

DUI

Client Eric Guimont was found not guilty of DUI in a bench trial. If convicted, his driver's license would have been revoked.

DUI - Aggravated DUI

Client Jennifer Grindstaff was found not guilty of aggravated DUI, a Class 2 felony (3-7 years in prison), in a bench trial.
