The Estate of Vickie Mohr and Maurin Heathscott sued Daimler Chrysler in Tennessee for an inadequate structural design and a defective Gen-III seat belt latch. The safety design known as the ‘occupant cage’ combined with the defective seatbelt latch failed to protect Vickie and Maurin during an offset frontal collision which resulted in their death.
