Wrongful Death
In the early morning of October 10, 2019, Crue Ridenoure was tracked down by his killer, shot in the chest before being dragged from the roadway and left in a ditch. His killer intended to deliver revenge upon Ridenoure and admittedly shot Ridenoure in the chest because Ridenoure refused to fight him after being ambushed. Having been found by coincidence by a passerby, Ridenoure was fortunately able to identify his killer before ultimately succumbing to his injuries. Our team brought diligent and unwavering support to the cause, determined to provide the strongest sense of justice and closure to Ridenoure’s survivors. The Court’s agreement with the egregious facts of this case coupled with the immense loss suffered by our Clients could not be more plainly stated than the $10,000,000 Judgment entered by the Court following our trial.

The firm represented Arlene Maldonado, a horse handler who suffered a severe ankle fracture requiring multiple surgeries after being injured by a spooked horse on a rural Missouri property. The horse, which had just been delivered, was started by dogs belonging to the property owners. Maldonado had requested the dogs be secured, but they were not, leading to the incident.

Sexual Assault
After celebrating her own birthday, our Client was sexually assaulted in her own home by an 18-year-old uninvited guest of the birthday celebration who snuck into our Client’s bed with her while she was sleeping. The perpetrator performed sexual acts upon our Client before she realized what was happening and screamed for help. The perpetrator was criminally charged, convicted and sentenced to serve prison time. Our team sought to, and successfully did, hold the perpetrator accountable in the civil justice system to ensure that the full measure of the injuries suffered by our Client were addressed, not just the criminal behavior of the perpetrator.

Auto Accident
A 20-year old man finally receives justice from a 2020 high speed head-on collision by Missouri State Highway Patrol Trooper causing severe head, shoulder and spine injuries. The case, reported by statewide media after ending up in the Missouri Supreme Court, became more complicated by the Court’s refusal to allow the individual Trooper to be held accountable for her conduct where she was driving over 100 miles per hour without lights, sirens, or any form of warning to our Client, and was admittedly doing so knowing that it deprived the Client of any warning about her conduct. Ultimately, the parties reached a mediated settlement merely months prior to the case proceeding to jury trial.
