Matthew F. Anich

Matthew F. Anich was born and raised in Ashland, Wisconsin, graduating from Ashland High School in 1969. From there he went on to the University of Wisconsin-Superior (B.S., 1973 cum laude) and Marquette University Law School (J.D., 1975). He was admitted to the State Bar of Wisconsin and the U.S. District Courts of the Western and Eastern Districts for Wisconsin in 1975. After being employed by John Day in Spencer, Wisconsin, he was appointed Ashland County District Attorney in January 1977 and served as District Attorney and Family Court Commissioner of Ashland County until 1986. In 1986 he joined the law firm of Wartman, Wartman and Dallenbach which is now Anich, Wickman & Lindsey S.C. Attorney Anich is also very active in the community: Tamarack Health Ashland Memorial Center board member; Ashland Foundation, Director; Mount Hope Cemetery Association, Director; Elks Lodge #137; Rotary International; Vaughn Public Library Foundation, President; former Vaughn Public Library Board President; former Ashland Area Development Corporation, Secretary; former Ashland Area Chamber of Commerce board member; former District Chair Wah Da Bong District, Boy Scouts of America; former Northland Bank of Wisconsin Director.

Tyler W. Wickman

Tyler W. Wickman grew up in Ashland, Wisconsin and graduated from Ashland High School in 2001. From there he went to St. Norbert College (B.A., 2005 summa cum laude) and Marquette University Law School (J.D., 2008, magna cum laude). He was admitted to the Wisconsin State Bar in 2008. He is also admitted to practice in the United States Court for the Western District of Wisconsin and the tribal courts of the Bad River and Red Cliff Bands of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians. Attorney Wickman is the city attorney for Ashland and Mellen. He has been named a Rising Star by Wisconsin Super Lawyers for several years and has been a contributor to the Marquette University Law School blog. He is also very active in the community, and has participated in several clubs and organizations over the years including the Ashland Kiwanis Club, Ashland Mural Walk Project, Inc., and Family Forum, Inc. He was also an Adjunct Professor at Northland College. Currently, Attorney Wickman serves on the board of directors for Tamarack Health Ashland Medical Center, the Oredocker Foundation (current President), Ashland Area Development Corporation, and the Wisconsin Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. In his free time, you will find Attorney Wickman enjoying the outdoors; skiing, hunting, or fishing with his wife, five children, and two dogs. He also referees hockey.

Max T. Lindsey

Max T. Lindsey grew up in Washburn and graduated from Washburn High School in 2007. From there he went to Western State Colorado University in Gunnison, Colorado (B.A., 2011 magna cum laude), spent a year skiing in Lake Tahoe, California, and finished his education at Albany Law School in Albany, New York (J.D., 2015, summa cum laude). He was admitted to the New York State Bar and the U.S. District Courts of the Northern District of New York in 2015, served for one year as a Judicial Clerk for U.S. District Court Judge Mae D’Agostino, and was then hired as an associate for the law firm Whiteman, Osterman & Hanna, in Albany, New York. In 2017, Attorney Lindsey moved back to Washburn, was admitted to the State Bar of Wisconsin, and joined Anich, Wickman & Lindsey S.C. as an associate. Attorney Lindsey is an avid athlete and outdoorsman, enjoying time spent biking, skiing, hunting, fishing, adventuring on Lake Superior, and spending time with his family. He has been an active volunteer for the Ashwabay Ski Area and serves on the Washburn School Board of Education.

Robert E. Eaton

Robert E. Eaton grew up in Ashland, Wisconsin and graduated from Ashland High School in 1978. From there he went to the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire (B.A. summa cum laude 1982) and University of Wisconsin-Madison Law School (J.D. 1984). He was admitted to the State Bar of Wisconsin in 1985. After two years in private practice (1985 -1987), he served six years as Ashland County District Attorney (1987-1993) and 25 years as Circuit Judge for Ashland County (1993-2018).

Katie M. Posewitz

Katie M. Posewitz grew up in Rice Lake, Wisconsin and graduated from Rice Lake High School in 1997. From there, she attended University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire (B.A. 2003, summa cum laude). After working as a high school social studies teacher and paralegal, she attended University of Minnesota Law School (J.D. 2010, magna cum laude). She was admitted to Minnesota State Bar in 2010. She spent one year working for the University of Minnesota. She was then admitted to Wisconsin State Bar in 2011. She joined the law firm Fauerbach & Martell in Ashland as an associate in 2011 and became a partner until 2017. She was the Bayfield County Assistant District Attorney from 2019 to 2023. Attorney Posewitz enjoys traveling and spending time with friends and family. She and her husband are active in coaching their two sons in sports.

Scott W. Clark

Scott W. Clark obtained a J.D. from Marquette Law in 1978 and has 46 years of experience, including 35 years as the attorney for City of Ashland.
