Carl W. Lindley, Jr.
Attorney Carl W. Lindley, Jr, a partner at Farber & Lindley LLC Attorneys at Law, practices in Massachusetts and before the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. Attorney Lindley has effectively represented litigants in the District and Superior Courts of Massachusetts, the Massachusetts Appeals Court and Supreme Judicial Court, as well as the Juvenile and Housing Court systems. He has also practiced before many administrative agencies and boards, including the Board of Bar Overseers (BBO), the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD), the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Massachusetts Fire Safety Commission's Automatic Sprinkler Appeals Board, and the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Embalming and Funeral Directing. Attorney Lindley’s practice focuses on civil litigation, including prosecuting and defending serious personal injury, wrongful death, automobile accidents, slip and fall injuries, dog bite cases, and professional malpractice claims. Additionally, Attorney Lindley has successfully handled business and landlord-tenant litigation, including housing discrimination, reasonable accommodation issues, lead paint litigation, summary process actions, warranty of habitability and quiet enjoyment claims, lease violations, security deposit claims, and class action litigation. Attorney Lindley graduated cum laude from Western New England University School of Law in Springfield, MA, and was the Assistant Production Editor of the Law Review. He is a graduate of Worcester State College, where he was a member of the Business Administration Honor Society. He has been named by Super Lawyers as a rising star in 2013, 2014, and 2015 as published in Boston Magazine. Attorney Lindley teaches a course at Holyoke Community College in Holyoke, MA, entitled “Landlord Tenant Law - How to be a Smart Landlord” and has acted as an adjunct faculty member at Salter College in West Boylston, MA, where he taught Law and Ethics courses. Attorney Lindley previously acted as General Counsel for a property management company in Western Massachusetts, handling all legal issues facing a small business. He was previously employed as an associate at Shumway, Giguere & Fox, P.C. in Worcester, MA, where he represented both professional and amateur sports teams, franchises, and entertainment facilities in various litigation matters. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Attorney Lindley worked for Premier Insurance Company of Massachusetts in various positions, including as an investigator in the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) and adjusted automobile injury and liability claims. He has extensive knowledge of insurance policies. He has provided pro bono advice and counsel to members of the community and nonprofit organizations.

Lawrence J. Farber
Attorney Lawrence J. Farber, a founding partner of Farber & Lindley LLC Attorneys at Law, has been practicing law for over 30 years. Attorney Farber concentrates his practice on landlord-tenant law, discrimination, wrongful discharge from employment, personal injury, and general civil litigation. He has extensive trial experience, in both jury and trials before judges, in the Housing, District, Superior, and Federal Courts. In addition to experience in appellate matters, he had trial experience before the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination. Attorney Farber was the chair of the Western Division Housing Court Bench-Bar committee from 2003 to April 2008 and was the co-chair of the statewide Housing Court Bench-Bar Committee. He is a past member of the Massachusetts Bar Association subcommittee on landlord-tenant law and a past president of the Hampshire County Bar Association. He served a three-year appointment on the Board of Delegates to the Massachusetts Bar Association. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Bar Foundation from 2010-2018. He has chaired or conducted numerous continuing legal education panels on landlord-tenant law in both residential and commercial contexts.

Peter Vickery
Peter is a graduate of Oxford University (Jesus College), the University of the West of England, Boston University School of Law, and the Center for Public Policy & Administration at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He is a former member of the Governor’s Council (the elected body that reviews the Massachusetts governor’s nominations to the state courts) and of the State Ballot Law Commission. Peter is admitted to practice in the state courts of Massachusetts as well as the First Circuit Court of Appeals and the Federal District Court for the District of Massachusetts. In addition to practicing law, Peter has taught courses on public policy, legislative drafting, and negotiation.

Anthony Paturso

From the inception of his legal career, Attorney Paturso has developed a passion for handling a wide variety of complex and dynamic legal issues. Attorney Paturso received his J.D. from Western New England School of Law, where he was involved in a clinical program aimed at reuniting families across the Commonwealth who seek legal services for issues related to child care and protection. During his studies at Western New England School of Law, he received the CALI Award of Excellence for his unique and extraordinary trial skills. Attorney Paturso is also a graduate of Springfield College, where for two years, he acted as Vice President of Student Clubs and Organizations. Attorney Paturso is licensed to practice in Massachusetts. He has been a member of the Massachusetts Bar since 2022.

DeAnna Wendland
DeAnna Wendland is an associate attorney at Farber and Lindley, LLC, focusing on civil litigation, landlord-tenant law, and criminal defense. DeAnna joined the firm after earning her Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School in May 2024. During law school, she honed her legal skills through practical experience in the Suffolk Accelerator Clinic, where she advocated for tenants in discrimination and landlord-tenant disputes. Additionally, DeAnna gained valuable courtroom experience defending indigent clients in criminal matters in the Boston Municipal Court of Dorchester. Before pursuing a legal career, DeAnna spent over a decade as a teacher in private and public schools across the Boston area. Her time in the classroom, particularly with her high school students, inspired her to pursue a legal career focused on advocating for justice outside the classroom. Their resilience and determination motivated her to seek ways to make a broader impact in her community. In addition to her law degree, DeAnna holds a Master’s in Education Literacy from Boise State University and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Hillsdale College. When she’s not passionately advocating for her clients, DeAnna enjoys traveling with her partner and baby, embracing life's adventures.
