Carmen Dellutri
Mr. Carmen Dellutri is the Founder and President of The Dellutri Law Group, PA. He is certified by the American Board of Certification Consumer in Bankruptcy Law. He is also a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Court and Family Law Mediator and a Qualified Arbitrator. He has multiple degrees and is licensed to practice in multiple states. Carmen is a graduate of Edison Community College and the University of South Florida. In 1993, he graduated from Loyola University School of Law. While in law school, Carmen clerked for the Honorable Charles Ward, Louisiana Fourth District Court of Appeal. Carmen was admitted to the New Jersey Bar in 1993 and the New York Bar in 1994. He also received his Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from Tulane University School of Law in 1994. He became a member of The Florida Bar in 1995. After entering private practice, Carmen received his Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from Florida Gulf Coast University in 1999. Carmen is licensed to practice in all state courts in Florida and the United States District Courts; Northern, Southern, and Middle Districts of Florida. Carmen is also licensed to practice law in the United States Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit and the United States Tax Court. Although Carmen is not actively engaged in the practice of law in New Jersey or New York, he is admitted to practice law in all state and federal courts in New Jersey, as well as all state courts of New York. Carmen began his legal career in a small plaintiff's personal injury firm. He represented individuals for claims involving products liability, wrongful death cases, premises liability, automobile crashes, and tractor-trailer negligence. As the firm expanded, Carmen was given the added responsibility of handling consumer bankruptcy cases. In early 1998, Carmen started the Law Offices of Carmen Dellutri, P.A., which later evolved into The Dellutri Law Group, PA as the firm grew from a little office in downtown Fort Myers to the multiple offices we have today. Carmen actively litigates cases involving catastrophic injuries and wrongful death on behalf of the victims. Additionally, the firm represents consumers in all forms of bankruptcy litigation. When Carmen was in law school, he was in a very serious car accident on St. Charles Avenue in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was hit from behind by a drunk driver and was knocked out from the impact. That’s one of the reasons why Carmen works so hard to do what he does. It’s not just a job for him; it’s personal. When he looks into the eyes of an injured person, he can tell them that he understands what they are going through now and what they will go through in the future. He's been in their shoes. He's had to pay the price of following up with doctors and reorganizing his life. He's felt the physical, emotional, and financial pain of an accident and he doesn't want anyone else to go through that. For a lot of personal injury lawyers, the job may get stale or the cases may start to become routine, but to Carmen, personal injury law is about the people. When a person has a major injury, their life is thrown into a tailspin. Their health, their relationships, and their jobs all suffer. That's why Carmen works hard to help our clients through the process, step by step, so they can make a real recovery. We work to help people get their lives back. At the Dellutri Law Group, we don’t work on cases, we work for people. Why would we do anything else? If you know Carmen, you know he is passionate about a lot of things. He gives back often-to his community, his employees, and his loved ones. As a member of the Christian community, Carmen feels he has a moral obligation to help those in need. Carmen has mentioned time and time again that the reason he became an attorney, and specifically a personal injury and bankruptcy attorney, is because he loves to help others. It’s this drive to help that makes him a natural volunteer, something he has done most of his life. It’s even something he’s ingrained in his own children. Carmen and his children often volunteer at The Midwest Food Bank, which is why he chose it for his Passion Project. The Midwest Food Bank is a volunteer- and faith-based national food bank. Established in 2003, their mission is to share their love of Christ by alleviating hunger and malnutrition locally and throughout the world. Carmen believes that when people volunteer, everyone in the community prospers. This is why he has encouraged all of his employees to participate in The Dellutri Law Group, PA Passion Projects! First and foremost, before all else, Carmen is a family man. Carmen often features his family in our newsletters. He’s shared stories of how he and his wife Marjorie met, and how she convinced him it was time to open his own firm in 1998. He’s shared stories of his baby girl going off to college, and her dream to be a doctor. He’s shared about growing up in New Jersey, working his father’s garage and learning all the tools he needed to succeed. He’s shared stories of cooking traditional Italian food with his mom. He’s shared his most exciting news in recent times: the birth of his first grandchild, a sweet little girl named Konnor and soon after, his first grandson, Karson. As the years go on, he will continue to share stories that give us a glimpse into the person he truly is, not just the attorney we all know. However, if you’d like to know what kind of attorney he is, don’t just take our word for it. Read one of the hundreds of reviews that people have left him here.
