Joey Petrack
Joseph “Joey” Petrack joined the law firm of Eggers, Eggers, Eggers, & Eggers, PLLC in September 2024. Joey has handled various aspects of civil litigation and trial work since becoming licensed to practice law in 2017. Prior to his move to the High Country, Joey practiced in Winston-Salem at a boutique law firm handling residential and commercial construction disputes. Joey is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, where he currently serves on the Leadership Council for the Litigation Section and as a committee member with the Future of Law Committee. Joey also holds memberships to the American Bar Association and the Watauga County Bar Association. Joey earned his B.S. in Political Science and History from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, his M.A. in Political Science from Appalachian State University, and his J.D. from the Elon University School of Law. While attending Elon, Joey worked in the Small Business and Entrepreneurship Clinic. Joey currently focuses his practice on matters relating to civil litigation, construction litigation, real estate issues, contractual disputes, and serious personal injury claims.

Stacy Eggers, III
Stacy Eggers, III practiced law with the family firm for sixteen years before his passing in 1990. He was an accomplished trial lawyer, father to four sons, and devoted husband. An outstanding athlete, he enjoyed playing basketball and was an active supporter of Watauga High School athletics. In his free time, he enjoyed playing bluegrass music with his band, “The Contrary Bunch.” He served as Chairman of the board for Legal Services of the Blue Ridge, President of the Watauga High School Boosters Association, and coached many youth basketball programs. He earned a reputation for being a “lawyer’s lawyer,” and enjoyed working with his colleagues to find practical solutions to their legal problems. His wit and humor brightened the courthouse and his professionalism and devotion to his family serve as an inspiration for the culture of our firm.
