Elizabeth A. Klesmith
Libby joined the firm’s South Bend office after graduating from Notre Dame Law School in 2014. Her practice areas include civil litigation representing clients in medical malpractice, contract disputes, contract claims, employment defense, personal injury, and real estate matters. She also assists clients with the application process for federal and state trademark registration in Indiana and Michigan. Libby is admitted to practice law in Indiana and Michigan, as well as before the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana and the Western District of Michigan. She is active in the legal profession, currently serving as the chair-elect of the Indiana State Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section.

Eric W. von Deck
Eric von Deck is a litigator with a focus on commercial matters, real estate, personal injury, and professional liability. Eric also has significant experience in commercial real estate transactions. Prior to joining THK, Eric practiced in the areas of securities regulation, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and corporate governance. Eric earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Notre Dame Law School in 1999, and was the recipient of the Dean’s Award for Business Associations.

Andre Gammage
Andre Gammage joined THK in 2025, practicing in areas of business law, civil litigation, and mediation. Before joining THK, Andre served as a Magistrate Judge in the St. Joseph Circuit Court, presiding at both the South Bend and Mishawaka Courthouses. In this role, he adjudicated a broad range of civil matters, including medical malpractice, contract disputes, estate litigation, family law, and personal injury cases. He currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Notre Dame Law School, where he teaches Intensive Trial Advocacy. Over the course of his career, Andre has served as lead counsel or presided over more than 300 trials. He is also a certified mediator and has contributed to the advancement of the legal profession through his service on committees of both the Indiana Court of Appeals and the Indiana Supreme Court.

James M. Lewis
James M. (Jay) Lewis joined THK Law, LLP, in November 2009, practicing in the areas of business law, business litigation, and real estate. Prior to joining THK, Jay served for four years as Vice President and General Counsel of a national manufacturing and service company based in South Bend. While in-house, Jay managed all legal issues including contracts, litigation, employment, labor relations, employee training and corporate secretary duties. Previously, Jay practiced with the South Bend office of a national law firm for 13 years, first as an associate and then as a partner. Jay has achieved an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest possible rating granted for competency and ethics in law.

Kahlyn N. Ashcraft
Kahlyn’s practice is focused on assisting clients with estate planning, elder law, guardianships, special needs trusts, and estate administration. Kahlyn is a member of the Elder Law Section of the Indiana Bar and the Probate, Trust & Real Property Section. Kahlyn earned her law degree from Valparaiso University School of Law in 2017 and her bachelor’s degree from Butler University in 2014 and is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association, Michiana Estate Planning Council, and the American Bar Association.

Thomas J. Hall
Tom has built his career on service to the business community, especially as counsel to many of the area’s entrepreneurs. He has over 40 years of experience in dealing with the day-to-day and transactional legal needs of owner-managed businesses. He has also served as counsel in numerous asset and stock purchase transactions involving small-to-mid-sized, closely-held companies having annual sales ranging from $5 million to $150 million. Tom long ago achieved an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest possible rating granted for competency and ethics in law. In 2004, he was designated an Indiana Super Lawyer in the closely held businesses practice area.

Greta Roemer Lewis
Greta has practiced law for over 35 years. In her estate planning practice, she guides her clients through the decisions involving issues that could happen in their lifetime or after their deaths. Her strengths are helping people through complicated family issues; these plans often include tax planning, charitable giving, and using various kinds of revocable and irrevocable trusts. In her estate administration practice, she works with executors and beneficiaries to carry out the wishes of her clients and their families. Greta has spoken frequently on estate planning and administration topics to other professionals and interested audiences. Since 2006 she has been selected for inclusion in Best Lawyers® in the field of trusts and estates. Greta is certified as an Estate Planning and Administration Specialist by the Indiana State Bar Association Estate Planning and Administration Specialty Certification Board.
