Mr. Smith has practiced law in the state and federal courts of North Carolina since 1993 and in the Eastern and Middle District Bankruptcy court and has received favorable decisions from the NC Court of Appeals on a wide variety of legal issues. A member of the NC Bar Association and the NC Advocates for Justice, Mr. Smith served as president of the 15-B Judicial District (Orange and Chatham Counties) in 2004-05. Mr. Smith works pro bono for the NC Bar Association’s “Lawyers on the Line” program and has served as an arbitrator in Orange County District Court. Nat also plays bass with the local bluegrass/old-time string band The Guilty Pleasures.

Jeffrey Allen Howard

Jeffrey Howard was born and raised in Fayetteville, NC. He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for his Bachelor's Degree and North Carolina Central University School of Law for his Juris Doctor, graduating with Honors. Licensed in 2001, he has been handling personal injury claims, workers’ compensation claims, and traffic tickets. He is admitted to practice law in North Carolina by the North Carolina State Bar and the Eastern District of North Carolina’s Federal Court. He is also a member of the 18th District (Orange County and Chatham County) Bar.

Stephen R. Paul

Steve's practice is primarily focused on civil litigation, subrogation, products liability, complex lawsuits in Federal and State Courts involving multiple parties and multiple claims, catastrophic injury claims, premises liability, medical malpractice, and personal injury and wrongful death. Throughout his 39 year career, Steve has tried a substantial number of cases in Superior and District Courts of North Carolina. These cases have included a 15 million dollar trial involving complex products liability claims, a 10 million dollar trial regarding catastrophic injury and paralysis claims, a 7 million dollar trial concerning severe debilitating injuries and punitive damages, numerous other significantly large and complex trials, and many trials regarding personal injury claims, fire losses, and motor vehicle accidents. Recently, in 2021, Steve obtained a $2,000,000.00 settlement for a client as a result of a medical malpractice claim.

Michael Robert Paduchowski

Mike earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a degree in Business Administration from UNC’s Kenan Flagler Business School in 2003. He is a skilled litigator and negotiator handling criminal, traffic, DWI, and personal injury matters. Mike has given back to the local community by coaching youth sports, serving as a Resident Judge in Teen Court, and volunteering for the NC Drivers License Restoration Project.
