Jay Trucks

Jay Trucks earned his Juris Doctor with Honors from Detroit College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Central Michigan University. He focused his practice entirely on personal injury cases in 1979 after two decades of general legal experience. He served as Prosecuting Attorney for over ten years and is a member of the Michigan Trial Lawyers Association and American Trial Lawyers Association.

Joshua T. McFarland

Joshua T. McFarland joined Jay Trucks & Associates, PC in 2011 after receiving his law degree magna cum laude from Michigan State University College of Law. He specializes in Social Security Disability and personal injury cases, overseeing the Social Security department. He is licensed to practice in Michigan and the Federal Courts in the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan, and is an active member of the State Bar of Michigan’s Social Security Lawyers section (Chairperson 2022-2023), the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives (NOSSCR), and the Michigan Association for Justice (MAJ).

Kyle H. Trucks

Kyle H. Trucks obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Adrian College and his law degree from Western Michigan Thomas M. Cooley Law School in December 2023. He passed the Michigan Bar Exam in February 2024 and is a member of the State Bar of Michigan Workers’ Compensation Law Section, the Negligence Law Section, and the Michigan Association for Justice.

Thomas Ognisanti

Thomas Ognisanti obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science/Pre-Law from Michigan State University and his law degree from Michigan State University College of Law. He passed the Michigan Bar Exam in July 2004 and is licensed to practice in Federal Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. He joined Jay Trucks & Associates, PC in June 2006 and has over a decade of experience in workers’ compensation, auto, no-fault, and dog bite cases.

Maxwell R. Trucks

Maxwell R. Trucks obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Alma College and his law degree cum laude from Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School. He passed the Michigan Bar Exam in February 2023 and joined Jay Trucks & Associates, PC in September 2022. He is a member of the Michigan Association for Justice and works in Workers’ Compensation and Personal Injury departments.

Todd Trucks

Todd Trucks graduated magna cum laude from Detroit College of Law. He has over 36 years of experience representing the injured and is a member of the Michigan Association for Justice and the American Association for Justice. He joined the firm in 1988 and previously graduated from Furman University.

Matt Conklin

Matt Conklin received his law degree from the University of Detroit-Mercy Law School. He handles workers’ compensation and social security disability cases. He joined Jay Trucks & Associates in 2025 and served as the Section Chair for the State Bar of Michigan Workers’ Compensation Section Council from 2023 to 2024.
