Mike has 40 years of legal experience. Prior to entering private practice he worked for New Hampshire Legal Assistance for eight years. He received a B.A. degree, cum laude, from Colgate University and a J.D. degree from Case Western Reserve University. He is a member of the Elder Law Section of the New Hampshire Bar and the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) and its New Hampshire Chapter. He is also a member of the New Hampshire Council of School Attorneys. Frank has an extensive background creating enterprise as a small business and international entrepreneur. In 1995, he began a start-up trading company based in both New York and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and was one of the first independent US concerns engaged in commercial trade in that country after many years of restrictions. Frank went on to establish a successful wholesale liquidator & import/export company and has created and operated an array of small businesses throughout his tenure across a broad spectrum of industries. Frank also spent two years with The Economist Newspaper Group Intelligence Unit in their New York office serving as a Programme Director. He was responsible for crafting and facilitating high-caliber think-tank roundtable events for the editorial staff. These roundtable gatherings covered geo-political and industry specific subjects and hosted Global 100 executives, government officials and thought leaders on topics such as Corporate Governance, Energy, Airline and Automotive Industries, Human Resources, Latin America and more. After experiencing legal practice working primarily on corporate transactions with a large international law firm, Frank focused his practice on serving the small business entrepreneur in the areas of general business law and intellectual property with a concentration on trademark and copyright matters. Since moving with his family to the State of New Hampshire in 2018, Frank has diversified his areas of practice to include among others criminal defense, family law, probate, general litigation, and real estate. Alexander W. Scott

Alex has been serving the citizens of Sullivan County since 1990. Alex began trying cases in the District Courts as a police prosecutor in 1994 and as an attorney in the District and Superior Courts starting in 1998. Prior to joining Buckley & Zopf, Alex an Assistant County Attorney at the Sullivan County Attorney’s Office and an Attorney at the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office. Alex focused on criminal litigation and criminal appeals. Alex served as the Police Chief for the City of Claremont from 2003 to 2017. Alex was the youngest known Chief to take on this challenge and in 2004 was named to the Union Leader’s annual Top 40 Under Forty. During his tenure he represented the City in criminal matters and assisted the City Solicitor with civil cases, collective bargaining, contract drafting, municipal code drafting, code enforcement, and landlord/tenant issues. Alex was appointed to Governor John Lynch’s Judicial Selection Committee and served thereon from 2004 to 2012. Alex was an instructor of Constitutional Law for the New Hampshire Police Standards and Training Council and taught at River Valley Community College and Norwich University. Alex grew up in Springfield, New Hampshire. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from Norwich University, magna cum laude, in 1992 and attained the rank of Sergeant First Class in the Corp of Cadets. He attended U.N.H. School of Law (formerly Franklin Pierce Law Center) where he graduated in the top twenty percent of his class in 1998. Alex has been a member of the New Hampshire Bar since 1998. While in law school, Alex worked for the Concord, New Hampshire law firms of Cleveland, Waters and Bass, P.A. and Rath, Young and Pignatelli, P.A. While at Rath, Young and Pignatelli, Alex co-authored an article for the New Hampshire Bar Journal with Attorney Ann McLane Kuster, “Is Your Mama a Llama” The Brave New World of Reproductive Technology, March 1998, Volume 39, Number 1. After graduation, Alex served as the Assistant Sullivan County Attorney from 1998 to 2003. Alex and his wife Kathy live in Claremont and when they aren’t at work, they are likely hiking, skiing, cycling, swimming, playing field hockey or camping with their two daughters.

Tristan joined Buckley & Zopf in 2024 after graduating magna cum laude from the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law. Tristan is also a graduate of the nationally renowned Daniel Webster Scholars Honors Program. During law school, Tristan completed a summer internship and semester residency at Buckley & Zopf, where he gained extensive experience in estate planning and probate. Tristan also completed a summer internship with the Manchester School District and served as Judicial Intern for the Honorable Justice Patrick Donovan of the New Hampshire Supreme Court. Prior to attending law school, Tristan was an internal auditor at a mid-size utility management company for several years after receiving his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Utah State University.
