D. Andrew Spalding
Since beginning his law career in 1986, Andy has defended hundreds of malpractice claims and product liability matters. He has also educated law school students as an adjunct professor at Valparaiso University School of Law and Notre Dame Law School. Georgianne M. Walker
Georgianne came to May Oberfell Lorber as a law clerk in 2000. She earned her J.D. at Valparaiso University School of Law in 2001. Georgianne is licensed in both Indiana (2001) and Michigan (2002). Her practice primarily involves litigation, counseling and representing clients in medical malpractice and wrongful death claims, commercial litigation, shareholder disputes, employment litigation, and trust and estate litigation. She also serves on the Firm's Executive Committee and was an adjunct assistant professor at the University of Notre Dame Law School.

R. William Jonas Jr.
Mr. Jonas handles business bankruptcy, business litigation, estate planning, personal injury, and other general civil and commercial litigation matters. He serves clients in South Bend and the surrounding areas including Elkhart and Mishawaka as well as throughout Indiana. A graduate of Indiana University Bloomington Maurer School of Law, Mr. Jonas has been licensed to practice law since 1981. He is admitted before all Indiana state courts, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States. He is heavily involved in his legal and professional communities, regularly speaking on bankruptcy topics and serving on various boards.

Janelle H. Cooper
Janelle primarily defends hospitals, health systems, medical facilities, physicians, and medical staff against medical malpractice claims, and also handles general litigation. She is a former deputy prosecutor and judicial law clerk, having tried over 80 cases, including more than 20 jury trials.

Bradley L. Varner
Brad's practice areas focus on insurance and worker’s compensation defense, insurance law, product liability, and domestic law. He has been part of the May Oberfell Lorber team since 1993, has tried over 35 jury trials, is admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court, and is a member of the Defense Research Institute.

Matthew J. Anderson
Matt joined May Oberfell Lorber in 2020. For over fifteen years, he has handled all phases of litigation in large markets, including Chicago and Indianapolis, and has successfully argued for reversals in the appellate courts of Indiana, Michigan, and the Seventh Circuit. Matt has extensive experience in personal injury matters, appellate law, litigation, medical malpractice, and domestic and family law and continues to focus his practice in these areas.

Savannah R. Gutierrez
Savannah joined May Oberfell Lorber in 2023 after graduating from Indiana University McKinney School of Law. While in law school, she served as President of Sports and Entertainment Law Society and competed in the ABA National Appellate Advocacy Competition. Her practice areas include Corporate & Business, Employee Benefits/ERISA, Litigation, and Medical Malpractice.
