Steven W. Woods

Born and raised in East Wenatchee, Steve’s first job out of law school was at a large law firm in Yakima. After a couple of years Steve returned to his hometown where he eventually formed his own firm in 1995. He later joined forces with John Brangwin, and together they formed Woods and Brangwin, PLLC (now known as Woods, Brangwin & Bratton, PLLC) in 2002. He focuses his practice on defending individuals charged with crimes, especially DUIs, and also handles personal injury cases. Steve has presented to other lawyers at a number of Continuing Legal Education seminars, frequently served as a judge pro tem in three different courts, is a member of the National College of DUI Defense, and is a past-president of the Chelan Douglas Bar Association. Steve has represented thousands of individuals over his career of more than 37 years. During the last 25 years he has focused on representing those charged with crimes, usually misdemeanors, and most often DUIs. Early in his career he discovered he preferred helping regular folks in his community rather than large companies and corporations.

John M. Brangwin

John graduated with honors from Gonzaga University with a Juris Doctorate degree. He is admitted to practice in all Washington State courts. His focus is criminal defense, DUIs, and injury cases. John is a member of the national DUI Defense Lawyers Association, is certified in the NHTSA Field Sobriety Tests and a factory trained operator of breath test instruments. He is a member and former Governor of the Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Washington State Association for Justice. Beth A. Bratton

Beth graduated from the University of South Dakota School of Law with a Juris Doctorate degree. She is admitted to practice in all Washington State courts. Her focus is family law and injury cases. Beth is a member of the Washington State Bar Family Law Section and the Chelan/Douglas County Bar Association. Beth has served as a part-time Court Commissioner for Chelan County Superior Court, the President of Volunteer Attorney Services (VAS) and the President of the Washington Young Lawyers Committee. Beth has litigated hundreds of family law cases in her career and represented many injured clients. After graduating law school, Beth clerked for three judges with Chelan County Superior Court. She handled all areas of the law until she transitioned into private practice. In 2007, Beth joined the law firm of Woods & Brangwin, PLLC (which would eventually become Woods, Brangwin, & Bratton, PLLC). She was the first associate to become partner in 2013. Beth concentrates her practice on all family law matters and injured clients. She is widely recognized as a premiere family law attorney with substantial knowledge and training in family law court and assisting injured clients with their cases.

Matt Knuffke

Matt graduated with honors from Gonzaga University School of Law in May of 2025. He is admitted to practice in Washington State. Matt’s focus is on criminal defense and family law but has assisted in cases involving juvenile matters. During law school Matt was the Associate Editor for the Gonzaga Journal of International Law and worked as a legal extern at the Spokane County Superior Court, primarily assisting the Juvenile Court. Prior to joining Woods & Brangwin and Bratton in 2021, Jeremy worked as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for Yakima County and then Douglas County. During law school Jeremy was the Editor In Chief for the Gonzaga Journal of International Law and worked as a law clerk at the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Washington for two years. He also served as a drill sergeant in the United States Army Reserves. Prior to settling down in the Wenatchee Valley Jeremy was a city councilmember for the City of Selah.
