He graduated from St. Anthony High School in 1984, attended Lake Land College and Quincy College, and earned a bachelor's degree in Finance from Eastern Illinois University in 1989. He received his Juris Doctorate from St. Louis University School of Law in 1992. Since graduating, David has practiced law primarily in the Fourth Judicial Circuit, concentrating in civil litigation, family law, personal injury, and estate and probate litigation. He also serves as a mediator for several central Illinois courts and is actively involved in the Effingham community, serving on numerous boards.

Kirsten Osteen
Kirsten Osteen was born and raised in Altamont, Illinois. She graduated from Altamont High School in 1998 and earned a bachelors degree at the University of Illinois in 2002. She then attended law school at Southern Illinois University, graduating in 2006, where she was President of the Student Bar Association. After graduation, she practiced in estate planning, personal injury, and civil litigation at Taylor Law Offices. She currently serves as President of Strategic Training and Restoration and resides in Altamont with her family.
