Joanna Kuhn

Joanna B. Kuhn is a founding member of GJK and leads the firm's El Dorado, Arkansas office. She serves as trust transparency counsel for a number of insurers and defendants, regularly working with clients and their local counsel on asbestos bankruptcy trust issues, and collaborating on related defense strategies and briefing. Joanna has handled, managed, and coordinated special projects for clients arising in mass tort and insurance coverage litigation. Joanna has represented clients nationally, regionally, and locally in asbestos, silica, benzene, and other personal injury and product liability matters, including risk management and defending asbestos depositions.

Bruce Allen Flint

Bruce Allen Flint graduated from Southern Methodist University School of Law in 1982. He has dual residences in the U.S.A. and Brazil and is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish. He is a member of the Arkansas Trial Lawyers and a recipient of the Silver Diplomat Champions of Justice in 2006. He is licensed to practice law in Texas, New Jersey, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.

Jason Elam

Jason Elam is a Louisiana native with extensive litigation experience defending clients in complex litigation matters in Louisiana and nationally. Jason oversees the GJK New Orleans office managing toxic tort, personal injury, and national and international commercial litigation dockets. Clients value Jason's candor and creativity, as well as his ability to view a problem from all angles while offering solutions. He is routinely called on to create and analyze strategies, take high-risk depositions, and settle cases. Jason has tried and resolved cases in Louisiana, Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, Texas, Georgia, and Kentucky.

Sarah Beth Jones

Sarah Beth Jones is a founding member of GJK licensed in Mississippi and Alabama. She strives to serve her clients with enthusiasm and excellence as they collaborate together to reduce risk and identify smart solutions to legal issues. She focuses her practice on the coordination of special projects and implementation of creative defense strategies in the mass tort arena. Sarah Beth has a passion for assisting small businesses in her community and working on strategies to improve education for students with special needs.

Malea Higdon

Malea Higdon brings years of litigation experience practicing throughout Alabama to GJK. Malea is also licensed in Mississippi and previously practiced in Hawaii. She has experience representing clients in all stages of litigation from initial pleadings through trial. Malea is an integral part of GJK’s product liability and toxic tort team with a focus on mass tort litigation defense in Alabama. Malea also works on small business and corporate legal matters analyzing issues for strategies and solutions to legal challenges.

Mary Margaret Gay

Mary Margaret Gay is a founding member of GJK and concentrates her practice on strategies to help her clients anticipate and eliminate risk. She represents clients locally, regionally, and nationally. She possesses extensive experience in creating cost-efficient, unified defense strategies to manage special issues arising in litigation. She works closely with companies to create best practices, and trains their employees, outside counsel and others involved on how to put these into play. Mary Margaret regularly assists clients in monitoring and predicting trends in litigation, including filing rates, verdicts, and jurisdictional changes. She also practices special education law in Mississippi.

Lee Ziffer

Lee Ziffer is a trial attorney in the New Orleans, Louisiana office. He has significant expertise in nationwide high-profile litigation relating to products liability, environmental law, mass tort, and complex commercial disputes. He advises clients on comprehensive litigation strategy and policy reforms to identify and mitigate risk. He has a proven record of quickly becoming a subject matter expert and training and mentoring others to maximize internal and external resources. Lee is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Louisiana and Mississippi, as well the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
