Attorneys in Escanaba

I grew up in Rapid River, Michigan. After graduating law school, I was trained by some of the country’s best trial attorneys while working as a Cook County Assistant State’s Attorney. I was fortunate to be appointed to the courtroom of the Chief Judge of the Criminal Court Division. As a prosecutor in Chicago, I gained valuable trial experience and fought for the victims of crime. I returned home to the Upper Peninsula to fight for the injured and disabled workers of this community.

I was raised in Escanaba, MI and worked for nearly 10 years in the Minneapolis / St. Paul area as a criminal defense attorney. I returned home in 2012 to make sure the clients of my hometown get the best representation.

I was raised in Escanaba. After law school, I worked as an attorney in Chicago. What I discovered was missing from my job there was the personal satisfaction of getting to know my clients by their first names: not just a last name on a file folder. I moved back to my hometown where I can see first-hand how my representation has helped my clients in their daily lives. When someone first comes to see me, they have most likely been injured and are usually without income. This can be an extremely stressful time, so I give my clients helpful information, and I work hard to be their advocate. I assist my clients in obtaining wage loss benefits and medical benefits and get their lives back to where they were.

I am a native of the Upper Peninsula. I was born in Sault Ste. Marie and raised in Ontonagon. Prior to joining this firm, I gained legal experience working for the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office. My desire to help injured workers brought me to private practice. My passion for the outdoors brought me back to the U.P. I am an aggressive advocate for those people who need my help and I will fight to get you the compensation that you deserve.

I pride myself on explaining things to clients. If clients don't understand something about their claim, they can't make good decisions. We try to explain things in detail during meetings and in correspondence. We want you to know and understand what's going on.
