Marvin J. Hammerman
Marvin Hammerman is a distinguished civil litigation and personal injury trial attorney, serving as the managing partner at Hammerman Rosen LLP. He has consistently earned the Super Lawyers Rising Star designation from 2018 to 2023 in civil litigation. Marvin focuses his practice on complex civil litigation, representing individuals or businesses seeking monetary damages, specific performance or other remedies from the Court, spanning personal injury, consumer fraud cases, contract disputes, and construction litigation. As a former Associate at a prominent New Jersey insurance defense law firm, Mr. Hammerman was mentored by highly-regarded trial attorneys and gained valuable experience in all aspects of civil litigation, from pre-litigation fact investigation through discovery preparation, settlement negotiation and trial presentation. He gained valuable experience handling personal injury and automobile negligence cases, insurance coverage disputes, consumer fraud litigation, municipality defense, and premises liability cases. He also gained additional legal experience handling medical malpractice cases, corporate formation and business law, landlord-tenant and real estate transactions, estate litigation and appellate advocacy. Mr. Hammerman has since completed further extensive training in the areas of cognitive psychology and mediation, which include courses with the Nonverbal Group focused on learning to extract information from nonverbal behaviors, and professional mediation training with the New Jersey Association of Professional Mediators. Since founding Hammerman Rosen LLP, Marvin has represented over a thousand clients in New Jersey, securing millions in recoveries and consistently achieving favorable outcomes and substantial settlements. Matthew J. Rosen
Founding partner Matthew Rosen is an experienced litigator focusing his practice on Family and Matrimonial Law, Domestic Violence, and Criminal Defense. He has been named a Super Lawyer’s Rising Stars for practice in Family Law every year since 2018. In addition to private practice, Mr. Rosen serves as a Municipal Prosecutor in Hoboken, New Jersey having been appointed in September 2020. Mr. Rosen's pro bono advocacy focuses on women's safety; he regularly provides direct representation for clients of three non-profit organizations of significant importance: the New Jersey Coalition to End Domestic Violence, Unchained-at-Last, and the Rachel Coalition. He has also volunteered at the New Jersey Superior Court’s Family Division, as an Early Settlement Panelist in Bergen County for matrimonial actions. Mr. Rosen received his Bachelor of Arts from Brandeis University and his Juris Doctor from Rutgers University - Newark, where he served in the Rutgers Federal Tax Clinic. While still in law school, Mr. Rosen twice interned for the New Jersey Superior Court - Family Division under Judges Nergaard (ret.) and DeMarzo. After graduating law school, Mr. Rosen worked for the distinguished law firm Florio, Perrucci, Steinhardt & Fader. Prior to law school, Mr. Rosen served abroad in the United States Peace Corps for two years. Also during law school, Mr. Rosen sought temporary legal status for immigrant victims of crime through the Law School's externship program with the American Friends Service Committee. As an intern with the UJA-Federation of Jewish Philanthropies of New York, Mr. Rosen participated in grant writing, facilitated donative transfers, and approached trust and estate law from the perspective of one of the world's largest non-profit charity organizations. Mr. Rosen is proud to have also been a teacher in Rutgers’ acclaimed Street Law program, which brings safe legal discussion, explanation, and conceptual learning to Newark elementary school students. Mr. Rosen is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, the New Jersey State Municipal Prosecutor’s Association, his local reform synagogue, the Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ, and Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity. Kimberly Young
Kimberly Young joined Moore Ingram Johnson & Steele in 2014 and is now a Partner in the firm’s Litigation Department, practicing in the Orlando office. She is admitted to all state and federal courts in Florida and Georgia. Her practice areas include Civil Defense Litigation, Premises Liability and Negligent Security, Auto Accidents, Construction, and Workers Compensation. Louis S. Raveson
Louis Raveson is an expert in evidence, criminal and civil trial advocacy, and contracts. He was the assistant commissioner in the state Dept. of the Public Advocate and practiced law with the ACLU Prisoners Rights Project and Newark Legal Services. At Rutgers School of Law, he started the Environmental Law Clinic and worked in the Urban Legal Clinic. Louis Raveson is a 1976 graduate of Rutgers School of Law-Newark, where he was a member of the Law Review. After graduation, he clerked for Judge Phillip Forman on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and then practiced with the ACLU Prisoners’ Rights Project and Essex-Newark Legal Services. He also was a staff attorney in the Urban Legal Clinic prior to his appointment to the faculty in 1981, and served as director of that clinic from 1993 to 2001. In 1985, Louis Raveson established the Environmental Law Clinic, then only the second such law school clinic in the nation. Louis Raveson has litigated countless trials in state and federal court, and numerous appeals before the New Jersey Supreme Court and the Second and Third Circuits, including Right to Choose v. Byrne, successfully challenging the constitutionality of restrictions on Medicaid funding for abortions and expanding the use of state constitutions as independent sources of protection of individual rights; an action successfully challenging the constitutionality of a law restricting street vending; a case defining the parameters of the judicial contempt power, a topic on which he has published a series of law review articles; an action arguing for the recognition of a constitutional right to shelter for the homeless; several HIV discrimination actions; the defense of an attorney facing disbarment; and a case seeking to enforce a judgment against a Swiss bank for $124 billion, then the largest judgment in U.S. history. Louis Raveson also served as co-counsel in Karcher v. May in the U.S. Supreme Court, a successful challenge to New Jersey’s “moment of silence” law. He also served as co-counsel representing Rubin “Hurricane” Carter in a successful federal civil rights action, and in his federal habeas action, which resulted in the reversal of his conviction after 17 years in prison. Louis Raveson has also specialized in litigating police brutality cases, including a class action against the City of Newark, and actions seeking redress for wrongful death resulting from unjustified police shootings. In 2001, Louis Raveson took a leave for several years to establish and run an international solar energy company. During a prior leave, from 1985-1987, he served as the Assistant Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of the Public Advocate. Louis Raveson has also served on the New Jersey Supreme Court Committees on Complementary Dispute Resolution and Civil Practice. He is a frequent commentator on legal issues in the news.

Ryan C. Edens
Ryan Edens joined Moore Ingram Johnson & Steele in 2011 and currently serves as a Partner in the firm’s Knoxville, Tennessee office. He practices primarily in the areas of General Liability and Workers’ Compensation Defense. Ryan received his B.A. in Honors History and Political Science from the University of Tennessee in 2005, where he graduated summa cum laude. He received his J.D. from the University of Tennessee in 2008, where he was a published member of Transactions: The Tennessee Journal of Business Law. He was admitted to the Tennessee bar in 2008, where he is admitted to practice before all state courts and the United States Federal Court, Eastern District. Ryan has tried jury and non-jury cases in courts throughout Tennessee, and successfully argued multiple appeals before the Tennessee Court of Appeals and the Tennessee Supreme Court Workers Compensation panel. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Ronald McDonald House of Knoxville and is a member of Fellowship Church of Knoxville.

G. Phillip Beggs
Phillip Beggs joined Moore Ingram Johnson & Steele, LLP in 1986 and is a Partner in the firm’s Real Estate Department. He has handled a wide variety of transactional and litigation matters involving real estate issues over the last 25 years. He is the head of the firm’s commercial leasing practice and probate litigation group. Phillip was admitted to the Georgia Bar in 1986 after receiving his Political Science degree from the University of Georgia in 1983, and his J. D. from Mercer University School of Law in 1986. He has received the Highest Possible Peer Rating (AV Preeminent) on Martindale-Hubbell for twenty consecutive years.
