Ashley A. Smith

Ashley A. Smith joined The Maglione Firm as an associate attorney in May 2023, focusing her practice on personal injury litigation and medical malpractice. She earned her undergraduate degrees in English and Psychology from Amherst College and her Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law. During law school, she served as an Executive Editor of the Journal of Legislation and Public Policy and gained hands-on litigation experience through NYU’s year-long Civil Rights Clinic.

Michael A. Barsimanto

Michael Anthony Barsimanto, Esq., serves as litigation counsel at The Maglione Firm, bringing over a decade of experience and a reputation for strategic, results-driven advocacy. He has successfully represented clients in complex commercial litigation, employment disputes, civil rights matters, and high-stakes personal injury cases. Michael earned his Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University School of Law on a Presidential Scholarship. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts, Magna Cum Laude, in Latin, Philosophy, and Classics from Montclair State University.

Shelley L. Stangler

Shelley Stangler has practiced law for over 40 years. She began her career as a litigator for the City of New York in its civil torts division, handling multiple jury trials. She later became a partner at Bloom Borenstein Hess and Stangler, and managing attorney at Jacoby & Meyers for 10 years before opening her own practice. In 2022, she became Of Counsel to Starr Gern Davison & Rubins PC and now serves as Of Counsel to The Maglione Firm. Ms. Stangler handles complex cases against the government, including police, corrections, schools, and other agencies, as well as serious personal injury, death, employment discrimination, and special education matters. She has achieved notable victories in high-profile cases, including multimillion-dollar personal injury, product liability, and civil rights cases. She has appeared in all Superior, Appellate, and Administrative courts in New Jersey, including the Third Circuit, where she successfully argued a precedent-setting case.

Dean Maglione

Dean R. Maglione, Esq. is Certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil & Criminal Trial Attorney. He is among a distinguished group of less than 100 attorneys out of 100,000 licensed in the state to have been granted both the Civil and Criminal Certifications. He attended Rutgers College, where he was admitted to the Phi Beta Kappa, Delta Omicron Epsilon, and Beta Gamma Sigma Honors Societies. He received his J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law, Newark in 1999. In 2012, his long history of professional accomplishment entitled him to join New Jersey Super Lawyers, a highly exclusive listing of the top 5% of lawyers in the state, and he is a life member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum.

Jean Whalen has been a valued member of The Maglione Firm for 16 years. She holds an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies and a Bachelor of Science degree from Rutgers University.
