Michael Lovelace
After graduating from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law in 1999, Mike became a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Joseph Casula. This invaluable experience gave a behind-the-scenes insight into the inner workings of the judicial processes, courthouse bureaucracy, and courthouse personnel. Knowing what the judge’s want, Mike then became a prosecutor for Prince George’s County State’s Office. During his 6-year tenure, he prosecuted tens of thousands of cases that included DUI/DWI, driving without drivers’ licenses, thefts, CDS/narcotic possession, CDS distribution, robbery, burglary, sex offenses, possession of child pornography, rape, child abuse, motor vehicle manslaughter, and murder. Being lead attorney in all these subject matters enabled Mike to obtain the necessary skills and confidence to switch sides and represent those accused of crimes. Mike joined The Palumbo Law Group in 2006. Mike has flourished as a criminal defense attorney representing clients across Maryland and in the District of Columbia and has become a partner in Palumbo, Palumbo, & Lovelace, LLC. Since then, Mike expanded his practice to include personal injury, medical malpractice, wrongful death, and family law matters. This evolution was perfectly timed and allowed Mike to assist the community in a more inclusive manner. Mike’s straightforward style, combined with an unwavering commitment to protecting his clients' rights, has made him a trusted name in Fort Washington and beyond. Whether he’s holding someone responsible in a malpractice or personal injury case, defending someone in criminal court, or helping a parent through a custody agreement, Michael is known for being honest, firm, and always prepared. He believes every client deserves a clear explanation of their options-and a lawyer who picks up the phone when they call.
