Steven M. Ballin

Zachary M. Ballin

His academic excellence, which culminated in the Sandra Day O’Connor Scholarship to New England Law Boston where he graduated cum laude, speaks volumes to his dedication and passion for his work. Licensed to practice law in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, Attorney Ballin has become a fixture of the legal community, exemplified by his membership in Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys, Massachusetts Bar Association, the Norfolk Bar Association, and the Rhode Island Bar Association. Weeks after joining Ballin & Associates full time in 2013, Attorney Jared Ballin second-chaired a four week trial that resulted in a jury verdict worth $1.96 million for a police officer who was shot while responding to a home alarm. In addition to his personal injury caseload, Attorney Ballin serves as the Editor for his firm’s newsletter, which features case-study articles from real cases handled by his Ballin & Associates and reaches thousands of subscribers. Attorney Ballin attended Roger Williams School of Law where he received awards in several courses including Civil Procedure and Workers’ Compensation. Before graduating, he clerked for The Law Offices of Deborah G. Kohl and served as a Judicial Intern at the Worcester and Middlesex Superior Courts, drafting judicial opinions for the Honorable Dennis J. Curran. In November, 2012 Attorney Ballin was honored by the Massachusetts Judges Conference for his contributions to an article by Judge Curran regarding judicial salary. Attorney Ballin graduated cum laude from Emerson College with a BA in Media Production in 2010. During college, he produced an original television show for Emerson College’s cable network. As a senior, he won Emerson’s ‘Outstanding Writing for a Drama’ award for his original film script. In his spare time, Attorney Ballin enjoys rock climbing, woodworking, and the company of his wife and dogs.

Richard L. Miller

Attorney Richard Miller is a principal at Ballin & Associates. He began at Ballin & Associates as a law clerk while attending law school and joined the firm in 1992. Kelsey Raycroft Rose is an experienced litigation attorney specializing in catastrophic personal injury claims. She has extensive experience handling wrongful death, trucking and automobile claims, premises liability, as well as fire and explosion litigation. She specializes in handling complex injury claims including but not limited to spinal injuries, traumatic brain injuries (TBI), amputation injuries, burns, fractures, and tears. Attorney Rose represented Ursula Ward, the mother of Odin Lloyd in her wrongful death claim against former New England Patriot Aaron Hernandez. Kelsey also represented the families of seven (7) residents killed in the Branch Street fire in Lowell against multiple entities. Qualls was wrongfully convicted of a double murder and incarcerated for 27 years. Qualls maintained his innocence and was finally exonerated and released from prison after 27 years. Attorney Rose grew up in Massachusetts. She passed both the Massachusetts and New York Bars at the same time and is also barred in Massachusetts Federal Courts: The Massachusetts United States District Court - District of Massachusetts, and the First Circuit Court of Appeals. Kelsey attended Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts and went on to earn her law degree from New England Law, where she was a recipient of a Dean’s Merit Scholarship and a grant from the Center for Business Law Fellowship Program. While in law school she interned for former Massachusetts Superior Court Judge, Judith Fabricant. Prior to beginning her legal studies, she was a competitive figure skater and a member of “Team USA” on the U.S. Figure Skating Team.
