Robert J. Johnson
Robert J. Johnson graduated in 1985 from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice. He then went on to receive his Juris Doctorate Degree, cum laude, from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 1988. He also is certified through the Hillman Trial Advocacy Workshop. Rob is admitted to practice in the State of Michigan and the United States District Court for the Western and Eastern Districts of Michigan, and the District of Hawaii. He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, Grand Rapids Bar Association, and Western District of Michigan Federal Bar Association. Rob was an attorney with Secrest, Wardle, Lynch, Hampton, Truex & Morley from 1994-1999; Seibers & Kivell from1991-1994, and Greene & Johnson from 1989-1991. Rob has successfully handled in excess of 60 jury trials in the following counties: Allegan, Barry, Bay, Benzie, Berrien, Calhoun, Cass, Clinton, Eaton, Genesee, Grand Traverse, Gratiot, Ingham, Ionia, Jackson, Kalamazoo, Kent, Lake, Lapeer, Macomb, Mason, Mecosta, Montcalm, Muskegon, Oakland, Oceana, Osceola, Ottawa, St. Joseph, Washtenaw, Wayne, and Wexford. In addition, Rob has also practiced Michigan No-Fault PIP litigation. In the community, Rob is a founding board member of Allie’s Angels, a non-profit organization raising funds to find a cure for pediatric brain tumors and childhood cancers. He is also an endowment member of the Forest Hills Fine Arts Center and is a Red Door Society Member of Gilda’s Grand Rapids. Rob is a founding member of the Grandville Education Foundation and is a lifetime member of the Michigan State University Alumni Association. He and his wife live in Grand Rapids where they have raised six children. Rob loves being a trial attorney and is grateful to have a great team helping him tell his client’s side of the story.

John P. Lewis
John P. Lewis graduated in 1990 from the University of Colorado with a Bachelor of Arts. He then went on to receive his Juris Doctorate from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 1993, graduating summa cum laude. Mr. Lewis is admitted to practice in the United States Eastern and Western District Courts of Michigan. John was a member of the Board of Editors for the Thomas M. Cooley Law Review. He graduated first in a class of 181 and received the David Martin Scholarship and James E. Burns Scholarship. He was awarded nine American Jurisprudence Awards for scholastic achievement. He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and the State Bar of Nevada. He is also a member of the American Bar Association and Grand Rapids Bar Association. Prior to joining our team, John was a litigation attorney with Cholette, Perkins & Buchanan, P.C. (1995-1997); and a Judicial Clerk to Chief Justice Michael F. Cavanagh, Michigan Supreme Court (1993-1995). Mr. Lewis has practiced Medical Malpractice Defense Litigation, No-Fault Litigation, Insurance Claims and Coverage, fraud, General Liability Insurance Litigation, and Appellate Practice. John is also a frequent seminar speaker on No-Fault and general liability issues and has extensive trial experience over his 27 years of private practice.

Richard K. Grover, Jr.
Richard K. Grover, Jr. graduated from Michigan State University’s Business School in 1981 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. He attended Michigan State University on an athletic scholarship and played varsity golf for four years. He served as Team Captain for three seasons. He then attended Thomas M. Cooley Law School from 1981-1984, where he graduated cum laude. While attending law school, Mr. Grover was elected editor of the Michigan Opinion Notes and was awarded the Harry A. Garr Moot Court Scholarship for his excellence in the Moot Court Competition. Upon graduation, Mr. Grover was selected as the recipient of the Alumni Distinguished Student Award. Mr. Grover has practiced law for more than 35 years, and is recognized as a leader in medical malpractice litigation, insurance litigation, and corporate law. He has led the firm in numerous successful trials, including cases involving multiple millions of dollars. Mr. Grover is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan. He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, Grand Rapids Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. Jennifer J. Ferriby
Jennifer Ferriby always knew that she wanted to be an attorney, just like her father. Growing up watching him skillfully trying cases convinced her that law was her only true career option. After graduating from law school, Jennifer began her career working for her father’s firm. That’s where she learned the ropes by representing defendants in medical malpractice cases and plaintiffs in third and first-party automotive injury cases. In 2010, Jennifer joined a local defense firm, advancing rapidly to first chair trial work, representing insurance companies in complex litigation. Jennifer draws upon over a decade of experience where she represented insurance companies as a lead trial attorney. While she is skilled at negotiating early resolutions, it is in the courtroom where she truly shines. In cases that have gone to trial in the last five years, she has delivered a 90% success rate. As a trusted advisor, she works tirelessly to represent her client’s best interests. Her educational background includes a Juris Doctor from Wayne State University Law School and a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Michigan. Michelle M. McLean
In the area of family law, Michelle represents clients regarding divorce, contested custody, parenting time disputes, child support review, spousal support, fair and equitable division of the marital estate, grandparent visitation, adoption, paternity, and conservatorships/guardianships. She also represents parents in abuse and neglect proceedings including removal, termination and foster placement. She worked previously as a private custody evaluator for the Kent County Friend of the Court. Michelle's great love of horses enticed her to become involved in the area of equine law, which is the practice of law related to all aspects of horses, horse-related activities, horse businesses, horse organizations, and horse facilities. Examples of her work include preparing or reviewing equine-related contracts (sales and transfer agreements), disputes and litigation related to horse transactions and injuries, and animal rights matters. Prior to practicing law, Michelle worked for a national mortgage lender and has over fifteen years experience in this capacity. She worked as an underwriter, collector, manager, and finally as an account executive. By combining her vast experience in the mortgage lending and real estate industries with the practice of law, Michelle offers her clients a unique perspective as their advocate. Michelle has extensive experience in litigation having tried numerous cases at both the state and federal levels. She is dedicated to finding solutions that are in the best interest of her clients, whether that be settlement or trial. She keeps her clients informed every step of the way in what is sometimes a confusing experience. Michelle has extensive knowledge in mortgage lending law and handles matters involving foreclosure rescue scams, mortgage lending abuses, mortgage fraud, mortgage modifications, and understands relevant mortgage banking laws. In addition, Michelle has handled many other consumer law issues from deceptive and fraudulent trade practices, lemon laws, breach of warranty issues, consumer debt collection violations, fair credit reporting issues, and student loan law issues. Warren T. Grover
Golf is a sport that builds upon the foundation and history of generations. It’s not surprising that Warren Grover is an attorney who continues the traditions of golf and builds upon the foundation of a successful law firm. Warren grew up in a family of professionals who focused on winning. The Grover’s also happened to be golfers. Warren took the learnings to new heights graduating with a Bachelor of Business Management degree from Davenport University. He attended on a golf scholarship which honed his team and leadership skills. Warren went to work at one of the world’s largest asset management firms and yet the call of law was loud and clear. Warren was admitted to Michigan State University College of law where he received his Juris Doctorate. He now uses his skills in business and law to positively impact his clients on a daily basis. Warren is a trial lawyer who sees the big picture and brings his positive attitude and focus on winning to each and every client. While golf is his favorite hobby, being a husband and father is his favorite aspect of life. In the courtroom and sports he’s fearless and can boast playing the Old Course at St. Andrews and Skydiving to his accomplishments.

Brendan R. Dennis
Brendan Dennis’ eventual path to Grover Lewis Johnson began in the lecture halls at Michigan State University. Brendan graduated from MSU with honors in 2005. Following his undergraduate studies, Brendan stayed in East Lansing, graduating from MSU College of Law in 2009. Immediately after law school, Brendan clerked for the Honorable David J. Newblatt at the Genesee County Circuit Court. He assisted with authoring numerous opinions, gaining an advantageous perspective from the other side of the bench. During this time, Brendan was also a member of the American Inns of Court and a regular participant at local bar functions. Brendan then began practicing at an insurance defense firm specializing in auto defense, where he worked for four years. His responsibilities there ranged from securing pre-litigation statements to trying cases. During this time, Brendan built a strong reputation for the staunch defense of his clients’ claims. Since 2016, he has developed a diverse law practice that includes business from a plethora of corporate clients and has a penchant for identifying and vigorously defending fraudulent claims. His practice areas include Insurance Defense for Auto and Property, Medical Malpractice, and Real Estate. Brendan also acts as a mediator/facilitator for various issues across the legal spectrum. These include first-and-third party auto, property, dram shop and premises liability cases. He is available to provide sessions by telephone, video conference or in-person while working with his clients’ schedules. Brendan is also in rotation as a case evaluator in Oakland County. Away from the office, Brendan enjoys spending time with his family - Kelli, Sean, and Connor. He also is an avid sports fan and tech enthusiast.
