Cliff Parkinson

Cliff Parkinson is litigator with experience in commercial litigation, intellectual property, and energy law. He also spent five years in-house as associate general counsel for an R-1, land-grant university where he handled a broad range of Higher Education issues including student and faculty affairs, administrative litigation, and constitutional issues. Cliff began his career as a law clerk to the Honorable Dee V. Benson of the District Court for the District of Utah and then to the Honorable Monroe G. McKay of the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. Cliff holds a law degree from Brigham Young University’s J. Reuben Clark School of Law, a Master of Arts in Classics from Florida State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Classics from Brigham Young University.

Brett Parkinson

Loren Washburn

Mr. Washburn’s practice focuses on white collar criminal defense, tax litigation, commercial litigation, and social media issues. He is a former Federal Prosecutor with the U.S. Department of Justice. In his defense practice, Mr. Washburn has represented individuals, major corporations, small businesses, non-profits, and churches. He has handled civil regulatory matters brought by federal agencies (including the SEC, FTC, FDA, and USDA) regulatory matters brought by state regulators and state and federal criminal investigations of all types. His is an expert in criminal tax, securities regulation, and consumer protection matters. Mr. Washburn also has a robust practice representing victims. He has been the lead lawyer representing classes asserting securities fraud claims as well as civil rights violations. His expertise has been recognized by Courts as he was appointed lead class counsel by multiple federal judges. In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. Washburn has an active practice in the social media space. He is a principal in one of the leading social media management companies in the United States, focusing on paywall social media website management and brand growth and development. In his social media practice, he represents individuals and businesses in the areas of First Amendment, defamation, reputation management and protection, social media account restoration as well as negotiating endorsements and other brand deals. Natalie Benson

Natalie Benson is a former Assistant Federal Defender from the District of Utah. She has worked extensively in the Federal Courts as a litigator and trial lawyer, handling a wide variety of cases from firearms and drug distribution to terroristic threats and homicide. She specialized in representation of clients in the Federal treatment courts, including Drug Court and Veterans Court. After nearly fifteen years of public service, she joined Parkinson Benson Potter to assist the public in other meaningful ways. Apart from her work in the Federal Defender Office, Ms. Benson has experience in immigration law, state criminal defense, and worked as a law clerk for a Federal Magistrate Judge in the District of Hawaii. She now focuses on wildfire litigation and personal injury and loss. Her passion for the law comes from the belief that every problem has a solution, and she works tirelessly to ensure that those who have been wronged can be made whole. When she is not practicing law, Ms. Benson enjoys spending time with her family. Her husband is a firefighter and paramedic in Utah, and together they have four children and two dogs. They love the outdoors, camping, hiking, water sports, and traveling.

Brennan Moss

Brennan Moss has extensive experience in commercial matters spanning nearly 20 years. Brennan advises clients at both state and federal levels across the country, with substantial experience in the Intermountain West, California, Washington, Alaska, Minnesota, New York, Washington, D.C., South Carolina, and Florida. Known for his strong advocacy in the courtroom, Brennan combines a meticulous and pragmatic approach to case resolution. He has secured numerous jury verdicts and favorable appellate rulings nationwide. Alongside his trial success, Brennan has negotiated favorable settlements with the FDA, FTC, SEC, DOJ, and similar state agencies across the country.
