Jon E. Newlon
Jon E. Newlon began his legal career with the McCravy Law Firm after 13 years in the USAF both as an A-10 Thunderbolt II pilot and a NATO instructor. He holds a B.A. in English from The Citadel, an M.A. degree in Political Science from Midwestern State University, Wichita Falls, Tx., an A.A. degree in Paralegal Studies from Harford Community College, Bel Air, Md., and a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law. Mr. Newlon has taught higher education courses in business law at Lander University and Erskine College and alternative dispute resolution at Piedmont Technical College. Mr. Newlon began in private practice in 1998. He is licensed to practice in all South Carolina trial and appellate courts including Circuit Court, the South Carolina Court of Appeals, and the South Carolina Supreme Court. Mr. Newlon is also licensed to practice in Federal District Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals. Mr. Newlon is a member of the South Carolina Bar Association, the South Carolina Trial Lawyers Association and the American Trial Lawyers Association. Lena Younts Meredith
Lena Younts Meredith joined the firm in 2005 and became a partner in 2012. She graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1995. She is admitted to the South Carolina Bar, U.S. District Court of South Carolina, and U.S. District Court Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. Her primary practice areas include Personal Injury, Workers’ Compensation, Premises Liability, Civil Tort Litigation, Estate Planning, Estate Administration and Probate Litigation. She is a certified Circuit Court Mediator, Arbitrator, and South Carolina Guardian ad Litem.

James C. Johnson
Attorney James C. Johnson began practicing law in 1983 and has almost 40 years of experience. His practice focuses on bankruptcy, probate, estate, and personal injury law. He is deeply rooted in the Greenwood, South Carolina community, where he has lived most of his life.

Jennings B. Anderson joined Nicholson, Meredith, and Anderson in August 2007. W. H. “Billy” Nicholson, III
W. H. “Billy” Nicholson, III, a Greenwood native, graduated from Duke University in 1979 and the University of South Carolina Law School in 1985. He was on the South Carolina Law Review and a member of the Moot Court Bar. He was the 2002-2003 President of the South Carolina Trial Lawyers Association (now SCAJ). His legal matters include personal injury, criminal defense, wrongful death, probate, real estate, workers compensation, and general and corporate litigation. He has been qualified as lead counsel in death penalty cases.

Timothy A. Clardy
Timothy Clardy is an Anderson, SC native and an Eagle Scout. He attained a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of South Carolina in 2000, graduating summa cum laude from the South Carolina Honors College and receiving the Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award. He attained a Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2005, graduating magna cum laude and receiving the Compleat Lawyer Award. While in law school, Mr. Clardy was a member of the South Carolina Law Review and received the Victor A. Michelwitz Award for his student note that was cited by the South Carolina Supreme Court. Mr. Clardy was president of the Student Bar Association and received the honors of Order of the Wig and Robe and Order of the Coif. Before entering private practice, Mr. Clardy was a law clerk for the Honorable G. Ross Anderson, Jr., U.S. District Court Judge for the District of South Carolina. Mr. Clardy is our lead Social Security Disability attorney. He has been representing clients in private practice since 2006. Mr. Clardy is licensed to practice in all South Carolina trial and appellate courts. Mr. Clardy is also licensed to practice in the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina and the U.S. Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. Thus, Mr. Clardy has positioned our law firm to uniquely pursue Social Security claims to the highest levels of appeal. Moreover, Mr. Clardy is accredited to practice before the Veterans Administration (VA) to assist disabled veterans. Mr. Clardy is a member of the South Carolina Bar Association and a Sustaining Member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives. He is one of only a very few attorneys in the state of South Carolina to hold Board Certification as a Social Security Disability Advocate.
