Steve L. Pier
Steve L. Pier received his undergraduate degree from South Dakota State University in 1975 and his Juris Doctor in 1981 from the University of South Dakota. He has practiced law in Yankton since 1983, taking over an active litigation and estate planning practice. He served as Yankton County Deputy State Attorney from 1985-1990 and as the attorney for the City of Hartington, Nebraska since 2006. Nicole Brandt obtained her undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice and Accounting from Mount Marty in 2014. He served as a law clerk for the First Judicial Circuit of South Dakota before joining the firm in August 2014 and becoming a partner in January 2019. Craig A. Kennedy
Craig A. Kennedy graduated from the University of South Dakota in 1973 and from the USD School of Law in 1976. After serving as a U.S. District Court Law Clerk, he began practice in Yankton in 1977. He was elected Yankton County State’s Attorney from 1985 to 1992 and has served as a Special Assistant Attorney General for South Dakota since 2000. His practice focuses on civil lawsuits, criminal defense, health law, contracts, business formation, management, sale and acquisition, real estate issues, and administrative law. He has tried cases in state and federal courts and argued before the South Dakota Supreme Court and the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Kevin J. Loftus
Kevin J. Loftus received his undergraduate degree in biology with a minor in chemistry from Morningside College. He worked in clinical laboratory services for 14 years before earning his Juris Doctor in 2001 from the University of South Dakota. He has been a member of the South Dakota Bar Association, Nebraska Bar Association, and Iowa Bar Association since 2006. Following law school, he served as a law clerk for the First Judicial District of South Dakota. His practice areas include civil litigation, family law, criminal defense, probate, and estate planning.

Andrew J. Devereux
Andrew J. Devereux graduated from the University of South Dakota with his law degree in 2025, concurrently receiving a Master’s in Business Administration from the same university. He was the Vice President of the Trial Team during his time at the University of South Dakota. He is licensed to practice in South Dakota.
