Allen M. Ressler

Allen Ressler has been practicing personal injury law for more than four decades. His personal injury practice includes obtaining numerous verdicts and settlements in the seven-figure range. In serious personal injury cases, the defendants and their insurance companies are often represented by teams of lawyers. Insurance companies aren’t interested in doing the right thing - they care only about paying out as little as possible, as late as possible. To help them avoid paying what they (or their clients) legitimately owe, they often hire high-priced lawyers to fight for them. While only one or two lawyers may appear in court, often there are many more lawyers behind the scenes. In some cases, insurance companies pay lawyers far more than what they could have paid the person injured to settle a case. This strategy may work well for them, as they know that if they drag out cases long enough, most of those injured will be forced to accept a low settlement because of their financial circumstances. Their strategies often include blaming the victim, questioning the legitimacy of injuries, and engaging legal tactics to avoid liability. Even for their own policyholders who have faithfully paid premiums for many years, insurance companies will often do whatever they think they can do to avoid paying a large claim. This is not right. The injured deserve fair compensation from those causing injury. Insurance policy holders deserve to be paid for legitimate claims. I work to make this happen.

Richard H. Adler

When asked, “What kind of work do you do?” I respond, “I give voice to people who’ve been wronged or harmed by someone, especially when that someone or their insurance company doesn’t make it right.” Sure, it’s a longer answer than just saying, “I’m an attorney,” but it gets to the heart of why I’m passionate about this work, which is much more meaningful. A. Troy Hunter co-founded Injury Law Group NW to help people injured by another’s negligence. He has extensive experience in personal injury law, including 16 years in insurance defense litigation, which he now uses to benefit his personal injury clients. He has argued cases at every level in Washington, including the State Supreme Court, and is peer-rated as AV Preeminent by Martindale Hubbell. He also serves as a dispute mediator.

Jerry Pearson

Jerry’s focus on personal injury claims and litigation has brought justice and some measure of comfort to the many clients he has served. They routinely thank him for his commitment to their needs and his guidance through confusing insurance and litigation obstacles. Jerry has worked on such challenging projects as injuries and deaths associated with chemical explosions, playground design, unsafe product design, and car accidents. Jerry regularly helps clients overcome the hurdles facing their claims against negligent drivers, employers with unsafe working conditions, adversarial insurance companies and government entities. A native of the Northwest, Jerry graduated from Issaquah High School, worked for Boeing for a short time, and then enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He served in the infantry from 1965 to 1968 and following his military service, Jerry worked for the United States Postal Service while attending school full-time and starting his family. After earning his undergraduate degree from the University of Washington in 1974, he graduated from law school in 1977. Jerry practices before State and Federal trial and appellate courts in Washington. He is an active member of numerous professional associations, including the Washington State Association for Justice and the American Association for Justice.
