James D. Spiros

Other notable cases include a $3.3 million settlement he secured on behalf of a Vermilion County family against a Champaign County hospital and the largest settlement ever reported in Ford County, Illinois, of $1.45 million as well as a $1.4 million settlement in a medical negligence case for the improper administration of medication at a Central Illinois hospital, and $4.9 million for the family of a young woman killed by a truck driver, of a national retail chain, who was driving under the influence. In 2019 he secured a jury verdict of $4.85 million in a Vermillion County medical malpractice case.

Miranda L. Soucie

Miranda L. Soucie is a leading Trial Attorney who fiercely advocates on behalf of her clients who have suffered serious personal injuries. Her cases range from medical malpractice, automobile and trucking crashes, defective drugs and devices, birth injuries, nursing home abuse and neglect, and workplace injuries. She is licensed to practice in Illinois, Florida, and the Central and Northern District of Illinois Federal Courts. She was one of ten members chosen to the Law School’s traveling Trial Advocacy Team. She was a recipient of the Pro Bono Notation for volunteering numerous hours of legal services to those in need, including service to Champaign County Court Appointed Special Advocates and Louisiana’s Resurrection After Exoneration. She earned her B.A. with High Honors from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee.

Berta C. Sasso

Berta Sasso joined Spiros Law, P.C. in 2022. Berta’s practice focuses mainly on personal injury matters and medical malpractice. Prior to joining Spiros Law, P.C., Berta was a medical malpractice associate in Southern Illinois.

Christopher Bohlen

Chris Bohlen was originally admitted to the Ohio bar, where he spent four years as a felony trial lawyer in the Cleveland, Ohio Legal Aid Defender's office. In 1977 he moved to Kankakee where he has practiced as a trial lawyer since. Chris's practice has included representing persons with injuries, as well as parties in divorce cases. Chris has tried over 200 jury trials to verdict and with that experience is able to negotiate or litigate as the case requires. He has represented the City of Kankakee as either a city attorney or Corporation Counsel from 1993 to 2017. Chris has been rated a Super Lawyer® beginning in 2005 and and most recently in 2018 and has received the highest rating as an AV Preeminent® lawyer for more than 25 years.

Joe C. Pioletti represents clients in individual and commercial bankruptcy, personal injury, wrongful death, worker’s compensation, and criminal defense. He is licensed in Illinois and admitted to practice in several U.S. District Courts.

Alison D. Kimble

Alison D. Kimble joined Spiros Law, P.C. in 2018 and was promoted to Senior Associate in 2023, she was then brought on as Partner in 2025. Alison’s practice focuses on motor vehicle accidents, workers’ compensation, and other personal injury matters. Alison is a Michigan State University College of Law graduate and earned a concentration in trial practice from the school’s nationally recognized Geoffrey Fieger Trial Practice Institute. While in law school, she served as a student notes editor for the Journal of Animal and Natural Resource Law. Alison is now excited to start her career serving clients in the area of personal injury law where she can help fight for the rights of victims of preventable injuries. She is eager to provide justice and compassion to her clients, helping them to regain normalcy in their daily lives. Prior to joining Spiros Law, P.C., Alison honed her advocacy and writing skills by representing state agencies in the Office of the Illinois Attorney General’s government representation bureau. Alison also served as a law clerk at a local organization that offers free legal services for low income persons. While there, she helped preserve her clients’ basic human needs and rights.

Danielle E. Cain

Danielle E. Cain joined Spiros Law, P.C. in 2020 and after demonstrating outstanding legal skills, a relentless commitment to her clients, and a strong work ethic, she was promoted to Partner in 2023. Danielle is originally from Champaign and was eager to return home after 8 years of practice in Decatur, IL. Danielle’s practice focuses on personal injury matters including motor vehicle accidents, nursing home abuse and neglect, and medical malpractice. Prior to joining Spiros Law, P.C., Danielle had eight years of practice litigating commercial real estate and high-value residential real estate disputes throughout Illinois. In addition to her strong litigation skills, she has a reputation for successfully settling hundreds of cases through mediation and negotiations while ensuring the best outcome possible for her clients. Danielle will never back down from a challenge and is always ready to fight for her clients and obtain judgment in their favor. Danielle also served as a law clerk in the Central District of Illinois Federal Court, where she honed her writing skills and observed many trials under the direction of the Magistrate Judge.
