Niko Pothitakis

Nicholas Pothitakis is an experienced Iowa attorney focused on workers’ compensation and personal injury law. He earned his law degree from the University of Texas and has been fighting for injured workers since 1991. He has served on several boards, committees, and associations that focus on the rights of injured Iowa residents, including the Iowa Association of Workers’ Compensation Lawyers, Inc. (where he was president in 2015) and the American Association for Justice Workers' Compensation Section (Chairman in 2022).

Cindi Muff

Cindi has worked in the legal field since 1986 and has been with Nicholas Pothitakis since 1995. She’s served as a paralegal at the firm since 2003.

Janet Schafer

Janet has been a paralegal since 1992 and joined Pothitakis Law Firm in 2005. She’s dedicated to fighting for clients and values faith, family, and staying active.

Kayla Ferguson

Kayla has been with Pothitakis Law Firm since 2012 and holds a degree in Office Administration. Outside of work, she enjoys time with her husband Jesse and their dogs, Chip and Maggie.

Taylor Schafer

Taylor graduated with a BA in Business Management in 2018. Since then, she has developed a strong skill set through various leadership roles. After recently relocating from Kansas to Iowa, Taylor enjoys spending time with her husband Henry and their dog - savoring quiet moments with a good cup of coffee.

Molly Markey

Molly joined the firm in 2020 after working as a legal assistant in Des Moines. She holds a degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from the University of Northern Iowa.

Makayla Collier

Makayla started with Pothitakis Law Firm, P.C. in April of 2024 and received her AAS in Business Administration - Pathway of Legal Office Management in May of 2025. In her free time, she enjoys being with her family, friends, and two pups.
