James E. Sher
James E. Sher, Esquire is a native of Berks County. He grew up in Oley, Pennsylvania and graduated from Oley High School in 1988. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Albright College in 1992, where he majored in history and business management. While at Albright he spent a semester as an intern with the Honorable Albert A. Stallone of the Berks County Court of Common Pleas. Upon graduating from Albright College he attended law school at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. While at Duquesne he interned at the Pittsburgh office of Pennsylvania Attorney General. He received his Juris Doctorate in 1995 having graduated in the top 20% of his class. Upon being admitted to the Pennsylvania bar in 1995 and returning to Berks County, he partnered to create the law firm of O’Keefe & Sher, P.C., in Kutztown, Pennsylvania. In 2013, Sher launched Sher & Associates, P.C. at same Kutztown location, with many familiar faces, and a continued dedication to client satisfaction and to achieving the best outcomes for your legal needs. He has concentrated his practice in the areas of family law, estate planning and administration, business formation and transactional work, and real estate transactions. He is a member of both the Berks County Bar Association and Pennsylvania Bar Association. As an active member of the Berks County Bar Association he has served as president of the Young Lawyers Divisions, president of the Endlich Law Club, co-chairman of the Family Law Division, liaison to the Bar Association Board of Directors, and has participated with other committees and subsections. He serves on the board of directors of the Kutztown Area Chamber of Commerce and the Kutztown Rotary. He previously served on the board of directors for Opportunity House in Reading, PA and is a member of the Exeter Township Lions Club. He and his wife live in Exeter Township.

Rebecca E. Mitchell
Rebecca E. Mitchell, Esq., an Associate with Sher & Associates, P.C., is a native of Oley, Berks County, Pennsylvania. Rebecca attended Fordham University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in English and theater. She continued her education at Fordham University School of Law, where served as a member of the Fordham Urban Law Journal. Rebecca is admitted to practice in both the state of New York and Pennsylvania, as well as the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Rebecca brings a unique perspective to business owners due to her background in employment law. Her experience with Title VII (civil rights act as it relates to employee discrimination), the American with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act (PHRA) and other employer-employee conflict situations, gives her a unique perspective to assist business owners and employers in avoiding claims and disputes in the first place. Rebecca enjoys spending her free time with her husband and sons, who are actively involved in cub scouts as well as other enrichment activities the Kutztown area has to offer.

Amanda E. O’Driscoll
Amanda O’Driscoll, an Associate with Sher & Associates, PC attended Albright College, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy. She earned the departmental award in Philosophy, while also completing a minor in women’s study. While attending high school, college and law school, Amanda worked part-time in the fields of television, print, and internet advertising and marketing. Amanda attended the evening division program at Widener University School of Law Delaware Campus. Widener University School of Law is a very competitive University and boasts that since 1998, over 3,600 Widener Law graduates have been admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar - more than any other Pennsylvania area law school. Amanda is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. She has worked in the field of family law, bankruptcy and real estate for over ten years and her employment history gives her a unique understanding of the law from numerous perspectives. In addition to family law, she has experience in the areas of estate planning, decedent’s estate matters, adoption, guardianship, real estate matters, business matters and equine law. In her spare time, Amanda enjoys riding her two thoroughbreds in dressage and hunter competitions or going for a stroll down the trail. She and her husband also enjoys classic cars and can be seen attending various car show and meets in her orange 73 ‘Vette. She has rescued various turtles, who live on her farm in Oley, with her two dogs, chickens and cat.
