James A. Trummell

Jim Trummell joined Valiente Mott in May 2021 as a trial attorney, focusing on drafting pleadings, overseeing discovery, depositions, court appearances, and trial preparation. He previously worked as a trial attorney for a prominent civil litigation firm in Nevada. Jim is a true Nevada native, born and raised in rural towns. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Sports Injury Management and a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from UNLV. He worked as a Physical Therapist for 14 years before attending UNLV’s William S. Boyd School of Law part-time while continuing his physical therapy practice. He is a member of the Nevada Bar Association, the Clark County Bar Association, and the American Physical Therapy Association. He holds licenses to practice law in Nevada and Oklahoma, and maintains his physical therapy license in Nevada. He was honored as a Vegas, Inc. Timothy A. Mott

Tim Mott, Partner at Valiente Mott, left his position at Nevada’s preeminent insurance defense trial law firm where he represented corporations, including Fortune 500 companies and the largest insurance companies in the world, to create Valiente Mott. Tim, along with Mike, created Valiente Mott to help people, not insurance companies. He has extensive experience representing victims of car accidents, defective products, and catastrophic injury. Tim has tried several cases to verdict and has never lost a trial. He graduated magna cum laude from the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada Las Vegas where he served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Nevada Law Journal and received various awards for his excellence in legal writing. He was also honored with the William S. Boyd Outstanding Graduate Award and the Scribes, The American Society of Legal Writers Award. Tim has repeatedly been awarded as a Legal Elite in Southern Nevada by Nevada Business Magazine and a Rising Star for the Mountain State Region by Super Lawyers Magazine. He is licensed to practice law in Nevada, Utah, and Washington.

Michael S. Valiente

Michael S. Valiente, Partner at Valiente Mott, left his position at Nevada’s preeminent insurance defense trial law firm to help people, not insurance companies. He has extensive experience representing victims of car accidents, defective products, and catastrophic injury. Mike prides himself in providing unparalleled customer service. He graduated at the top of his class from UNLV with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and from the William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV, where he received multiple CALI awards and was a member of Boyd’s National Moot Court team. He was honored with the James E. Rogers Scholastic Achievement Award and the Scribes, The American Society of Legal Writers Award. After defending big insurance companies, he started his own firm to help people. In 2017, Mike was voted one of Las Vegas’ Legal Elite. He is fluent in Spanish, and is licensed in both Nevada and California.

David Morgan

Firm founder David L. Morgan received his B.A. degree at Brigham Young University in 1995. He earned his M.B.A. and J.D. degrees from Willamette University in 2001 and was admitted to practice law that same year. Mr. Morgan immediately opened the Law Offices of David L. Morgan, which is also known as the Morgan Law Firm. He chose to focus on personal injury law because of his strong belief that injury victims in Boise, Salt Lake City, and throughout all cities and towns in both states need access to compassionate, individualized support. Bradley J. Weber

Bradley Weber is the founder and managing attorney of Weber Law Group, PLLC. His practice primarily focuses on business law, commercial litigation, and real estate. He is also experienced in personal injury and estate planning. Mr. Weber is licensed to practice law in the State of Utah, and actively litigates before state and federal courts. Nate Quist

Nate Quist began his career working alongside Partners Mike and Tim at Nevada’s preeminent insurance defense trial law firm. He then joined the Clark County Public Defender’s Office in Las Vegas, gaining invaluable experience as a trial lawyer. Nate reunited with Mike and Tim to advocate for the injured. He received his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Virginia School of Law, ranked as a top ten law school. He completed an externship with Chief Judge Gloria Navarro of the United States District Court for the District of Nevada. Prior to law school, Nate graduated magna cum laude from Brigham Young University. Nate is licensed to practice law in Utah and Nevada.

Peter Petersen

Peter Petersen is a trial attorney dedicated to protecting people from insurance companies. Raised in Las Vegas and Henderson, he has a deep connection to the community. He is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where he was top of his class in Political Science, and earned his law degree from the William S. Boyd School of Law, graduating at the top of his class on an academic scholarship.
