Daniel Barton

Daniel P. Barton is the owner and lead trial lawyer for the Barton Law Firm in Houston, Texas. Mr. Barton has tried personal injury cases and insurance property damage cases nationally and locally for twenty-five years. Mr. Barton is a former insurance adjuster. He is a lifetime resident of Houston, Texas. Mr. Barton is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. Mr. Barton is also Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Personal Injury Trial Law. Brent L. Watkins

Brent L. Watkins has experience in personal injury and civil trial law, defending individuals and businesses in various accident and litigation claims. He also represents a national manufacturer in asbestos litigation and has experience in business litigation. Prior to law, he was a Senior Purchasing Agent.

Josh McMahon

Joshua L. McMahon IV received his J.D. from Baylor Law School in 2013. He has a diverse practice in real estate litigation and transactions, property owner association issues, estate planning and probate, and personal injury cases. He is married to Becca McMahon, also an attorney at the firm.

Chris Schleiffer

Chris, a native Texan, grew up in Southeast, Texas and received his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s of science in Industrial Distribution. Following Texas A&M, Chris attended South Texas College of Law, where he served as the Dean of the Student Senate of Delta Theta Phi Legal Fraternity, Treasurer of Aggie Law Student Association as well as a participant in both mock and moot trial programs. He was also awarded the SBA President’s award in 2013. Chris has devoted his legal practice to representing policyholders against their insurance companies in Texas and states throughout the country. Chris has handled numerous first-party claims, including both commercial and residential claims in both state and federal court. Chris’ experience includes lead counsel trial experience across Texas. Since joining the Barton Law Firm, in April of 2020, Chris has expanded his practice to represent personal injury clients in addition to first party property claims. Chris gives back to his community by serving as a volunteer for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo since law school.
