Jan Dils

Jan Dils is the firm’s founder. She opened Jan Dils, Attorneys at Law, in Parkersburg, West Virginia, in 1994 as the solo attorney/employee. Today, she has a skilled and compassionate team of more than 150 serving clients throughout West Virginia, with offices in Parkersburg, Beckley, Charleston, Huntington and Logan, as well as one additional office in Charlotte, North Carolina. Her passion is fighting for people who are all too often left helpless at the hands of corporations, insurance companies, Big Pharma, and government red tape. Jan Dils, Attorneys at Law, has 25 years of experience in all forms of Social Security and Disability benefits, Veteran’s Benefits and Personal Injury cases. Jan is a graduate of Marietta College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in both Marketing and Economics. She then went on to receive her Master’s in Business Administration in 1991, and her law degree from West Virginia University in 1994. She is a member of the West Virginia Bar, the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives (NOSSCR), and the National Organization of Veterans’ Advocates. Kelly Guice

Kelly is a seasoned trial attorney at Jan Dils, Attorneys at Law, with a distinguished record of advocacy in personal injury, product liability, and mass and toxic tort litigation. With nearly three decades of experience and more than 50 jury verdicts to her name, Kelly offers clients unmatched insight and dedication across both state and federal courts in West Virginia and Ohio. A Parkersburg native, Kelly earned her Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, with a minor in Spanish, from Cleveland State University in 1993 and went on to receive her Juris Doctor from Capital University Law School in 1996. Her legal career began with personal injury litigation and was later shaped by service in the Wood County Prosecutor’s Office, where she primarily prosecuted violent crimes against women and children. She also spent several years working in insurance defense, further honing her litigation skills on complex cases involving product liability and toxic torts. Kelly has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America for her excellence in both product liability and mass tort/class action litigation. She is known for her empathetic approach and zealous advocacy, always striving to secure the compensation her clients rightfully deserve. Inspired by a personal tragedy in high school that claimed the life of her best friend in a car accident, Kelly has made it her mission to help injury victims navigate some of the most difficult chapters of their lives. Steven S. Wolfe, Esq.

Steven Wolfe acquired his Juris Doctor from West Virginia University College of Law and earned his admission into the West Virginia State Bar soon after. He enjoys working with clients in personal injury, employment law, and consumer protection cases. He is dedicated to helping people who may not be able to help themselves and serves as a Board Member for the Logan County Charitable and Educational Foundation. He is also an active member of the West Virginia Association for Justice and West Virginia Employment Lawyers.

J. Christopher White

J. Christopher White graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 2003. He began his legal career as a staff attorney for the judiciary committee of the Kentucky legislature, then worked in plaintiffs' litigation, and later defended similar claims, learning defense tactics. He returned to southern West Virginia in 2009, serving as an assistant prosecuting attorney in Logan County for nearly seven years. With experience in personal injury, family law, property law, and criminal law, he partners with Steven Wolfe to provide exceptional legal services.

John Weber

John is a dedicated personal injury attorney at Jan Dils, Attorneys at Law, where he brings a sharp legal mind, compassionate approach, and firsthand understanding of the impact of serious injury. A graduate of the West Virginia University College of Law, John was honored with multiple CALI Awards for Excellence in Appellate Advocacy, Pre-trial Litigation, and Firearms Law and Policy, highlighting his academic strength and legal writing skills. Before becoming an attorney, John served as a Student Attorney in the WVU Litigation Clinic and worked as a Law Clerk with Jan Dils, gaining practical experience and deep familiarity with client-centered advocacy. His professional path is also shaped by personal experience-after seeing a close family member suffer through the aftermath of a serious car accident, John developed a strong commitment to helping others navigate the emotional, physical, and financial challenges that follow personal injury. John’s strengths as an attorney lie in his precise legal writing and critical thinking skills, which he leverages to build strong cases and advocate effectively for his clients. He takes pride in guiding clients through what is often a difficult period in their lives, helping them find peace of mind and a way forward.

Jamie Hovey

Jamie Hovey is a dedicated Social Security Disability attorney with a passion for advocating on behalf of clients navigating the complexities of the SSDI process. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in History from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin in 2011 before obtaining her Doctor of Jurisprudence from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2014. With nearly a decade of experience in disability law, Jamie has served as an Associate and Lead Attorney at The Jeff Diamond Law Firm, where she focused on Social Security Disability cases. She continued her work in the field at Sanders, Bruin, Coll, & Worley, PA, representing clients seeking benefits. Before joining Jan Dils, Attorneys at Law, she expanded her legal expertise as an Associate Attorney handling personal injury cases at Rincon Law Group. Jamie returned to disability law because of her deep commitment to working directly with clients, advocating for their rights in hearings, and guiding them through the legal process. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their very active little boy.

Jason Harwood

Jason Harwood is a lifelong resident of Logan County, West Virginia, and a seasoned attorney with experience as a public defender, assistant prosecuting attorney, and a judge in the Logan County Family Court. He now practices privately at Harwood Legal, PLLC, focusing on auto accidents, family law, personal injury, wrongful death, and bankruptcy cases.
