Michael B. Clayton graduated from the University of Arkansas School of Law in 1988. After acquiring his license to practice law in Arkansas, he moved to California and acquired his second license. He practiced at a Santa Maria law firm for seven years before opening his own office. In January 2005, he expanded his practice by opening a second office in Lompoc. He is known for his legal experience and deep ties to the Central Coast community, and is a passionate supporter of U.S. veterans.

Thomas L. Barnard is Of Counsel with Michael B. Clayton & Associates, bringing decades of legal insight. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration cum laude from the University of Southern California in 1986 and his Juris Doctor from Southwestern University School of Law in 1992. Admitted to the California Bar in 1993, he specializes in complex family law matters.
