Rod G. Hickman
Rod G. Hickman is a founding partner of Hickman Fondren, PLLC. He focuses his practice on personal injury, employment, and workers' compensation matters, while also advising clients on a wide range of legal issues including family law and employment law. Rod received his Bachelor of Arts and J.D. (magna cum laude) from the University of Mississippi School of Law. During law school, he was an Associate Articles Editor for the Mississippi Law Journal, a member of the Moot Court Board, and served on the executive board of the National Black Law Students Association. He was honored as the 2017 Outstanding Student and received the Dean’s Distinguished Leader Award at the University of Mississippi School of Law. Rod is currently the chairman of the University of Mississippi School of Law Alumni Diversity Council. He previously worked as an Associate Attorney focusing on employment law and premises liability litigation. In August 2019, he was elected as the first Black County Prosecutor for Noxubee County, Mississippi, and in January 2020, he was appointed municipal prosecutor for the Town of Shuqualak, MS. He also serves as an adjunct prelaw professor at Tougaloo College and The W. Rod is active in his community and is a member of the Magnolia Bar Association (co-chair of the Young Lawyers Division) and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated.

M. Denise Fondren
M. Denise Fondren is a founding partner of Hickman Fondren, PLLC, serving as the managing partner and overseeing the Oxford office. She focuses her practice primarily on family law and criminal law matters, and also serves as a Public Defender for Oxford Municipal Court and Lafayette County Circuit Court. Denise earned her Juris Doctorate from The University of Mississippi School of Law in May 2017 and holds two Bachelors of Business Administration degrees from The University of Mississippi. She is a Bar Commissioner for The Mississippi Bar, District 3 Director of the Lafayette County Democratic Party, and Director of the Young Lawyers Division of The Mississippi Bar. She is also a member of the University of Mississippi School of Law Alumni Diversity Council and the Diversity Committee of the Young Lawyers Division of The Mississippi Bar. Prior to private practice, she was a Staff Attorney for the Earlene Gardner Victims Assistance Project at North Mississippi Rural Legal Services, for which she received the Purple for Peace Legal Community Award in 2018. She is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated.
Gabrieal L. Carter
Gabrieal “Gabby” Carter is an Associate Attorney at Hickman Fondren, PLLC. She graduated Cum Laude from the University of Mississippi School of Law and is licensed to practice law in Mississippi and Tennessee.
