James “Jim” E. Brogdon, Jr.
Jim works in Whetstone Perkins and Fulda’s Marion office with his son, James. He spent most of his legal career in Marion, SC. After graduating from law school in 1977 Jim began his career with William H. Seals in a general practice which included personal injury and workers compensation matters. During those years he served on Marion City Council and as Marion County attorney. In 1996 he was elected as a Circuit Court Judge and served until 2005 when he became General Counsel at Santee Cooper, retiring in 2014. He returned to Santee Cooper as Interim President and CEO in 2017 and served in that role until 2019. Jim is now practicing complex injury and business litigation with Whetstone Perkins & Fulda.
