Cheryl Forest Perkins

Cheryl devoted much of her early legal career to First Amendment and public interest issues. She was awarded the Reid Montgomery First Amendment/Freedom of Information Award by the South Carolina Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists in 1986. She went on to practice appellate procedure for a number of years before focusing on catastrophic injury and complex class action/business cases.

John Eric Fulda

John Eric began his legal practice representing insurance companies and carriers defending doctors and other medical providers who were accused of medical malpractice. After a few years, he turned his focus to representing victims of serious injury, including medical malpractice, and seeking justice for them and their families. He is passionate about helping victims in personal injury cases get back on their feet and hopes that clients look to him as not just an attorney, but as someone they can count on as a friend. Gary I. Finklea is a founding partner at Finklea, Hendrick & Blake, LLC, with over 30 years of experience in private practice. He graduated magna cum laude from Francis Marion University in 1990 and earned his Juris Doctor with honors from the University of South Carolina in 1993. William J. Luse

William J. Luse is a Trial Attorney based in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He graduated from Ohio Northern University with a B.S. in Business Administration in 1996, earned his MBA from Webster University in 2000, and his law degree from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 2004. James “Jim” E. Brogdon, Jr.

Jim works in Whetstone Perkins and Fulda’s Marion office with his son, James. He spent most of his legal career in Marion, SC. After graduating from law school in 1977 Jim began his career with William H. Seals in a general practice which included personal injury and workers compensation matters. During those years he served on Marion City Council and as Marion County attorney. In 1996 he was elected as a Circuit Court Judge and served until 2005 when he became General Counsel at Santee Cooper, retiring in 2014. He returned to Santee Cooper as Interim President and CEO in 2017 and served in that role until 2019. Jim is now practicing complex injury and business litigation with Whetstone Perkins & Fulda.
