Donald L. Poynter

Don Poynter has been a managing partner of Poynter & Bucheri since 1996. He is a lifelong resident of Indiana, having grown up in Morgantown. He is a graduate of Indiana University with a BA in Economics and IU School of Law, Indianapolis. Mr. Poynter practices personal injury law, having helped thousands of injured persons in their fights against insurance companies. As an avid motorcyclist, Don is particularly aware of the dangers cars and trucks pose to bikers. He loves to fight vigorously for their rights of riders. In his spare time, Don enjoys traveling, gaming and movies.

Richard Bucheri has been a managing partner of Poynter & Bucheri since 1996. He is a graduate of Indiana University School of Business and IU School of Law, Indianapolis. Mr. Bucheri practices personal injury law. He works extensively in matters involving auto and truck accidents, slip and fall, wrongful death and other serious bodily injuries. As a former restaurant and bar owner, he also has particular experience in tavern liability cases, with a published Court of Appeals opinion on the subject. In his earlier years, he primarily practiced in the area of criminal defense. He has tried well over 30 jury trials and hundreds of contested hearings, criminal and civil, including several high profile cases. Rich’s favorite cases are those where his client is in the underdog role pitted against a seemingly large and powerful opponent. In his spare time, Rich enjoys golfing, travel and is a BBQ enthusiast.

Born in Beech Grove and raised in Greenwood, Mr. Norman graduated from Indiana University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. Mr. Norman was an active participant in the Indiana University Marching Hundred and Big Red Basketball Band, being named one of the section leaders for the trombones his junior and senior years. Mr. Norman then attended Valparaiso University, where he graduated in 2014 with a Master of Arts - Liberal Studies degree. While at Valparaiso, he was a member of the Graduate Student Advisory Council, where he addressed the concerns of graduate students, planned activities, and made recommendations to the Graduate School. Mr. Norman then attended the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis, graduating in 2017. While attending McKinney, he was a participant in Moot Court. Mr. Norman focuses his practice on personal injury; aiding those affected by automobile collisions, premises liability, semi-truck collisions, animal bites, and wrongful death.
