Mark N. Morris

Mark Morris was voted Best Attorney of Rutherford County in the Daily Courier Readers’ Polls (2011 - 2023), and he also received the Avvo Client Choice Award. Mark grew up in Los Angeles, California, where his father was a Los Angeles city attorney for over thirty years. Mark moved to Rutherford County, North Carolina, in 1990 and subsequently married his wife Holly Morris. In 2000, he graduated from Limestone College with a Bachelor of Arts in Education. In 2004, he graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Law and was admitted to the North Carolina Bar that same year. He is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association and the Rutherford County Bar Association. Mark lives in Rutherford County with his wife and daughter, Elizabeth Morris.

Hannah M. Davies

Hannah Davies truly loves to help people, and she is dedicated to do whatever is necessary to see that her clients have the very best service and results possible in their cases. Hannah has always had a strong desire to stand boldly for justice and to be a servant to those who are struggling and desperately need someone who really cares about them. Hannah was born in Northern Ireland but came to the United States as a child and was raised here in western North Carolina. She became a United States' citizen in 2008. Hannah obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Gardner-Webb University in 2008 and volunteered tutoring students in areas of chemistry, physics, and math. After working as a paralegal at Tomblin, Farmer & Morris, PLLC, for several years, Hannah attended Elon University School of Law from 2011 - 2014. She obtained her Juris Doctor in 2014, ranking as the top student in her class, and was admitted to practice law in the state of North Carolina that same year. In February 2016, Hannah passed the South Carolina bar exam to be additionally licensed to practice law in South Carolina. Hannah worked as a full-time intern to The Honorable Martin Reidinger, United States District Court Judge for the Western District of North Carolina, from January - April 2014, and then as his Administrative Law Clerk from August 2014 - May 2015. In this capacity, Hannah engaged in an array of cases involving civil procedure, evidence, negligence and product liability, criminal law, federal criminal sentencing, contracts, social security disability, foreclosure, banking, business and tax law, civil rights, professional responsibility, patent law, sovereign and qualified immunity, and immigration, among others. She researched extensively and prepared over fifty court orders for various cases while she clerked for Judge Reidinger. Hannah is very thankful for the valuable training that she received while serving as a federal law clerk which has enabled her to excellently serve clients in her legal practice. Hannah is now an associate at Farmer and Morris Law, PLLC where she focuses her practice on personal injury, social security disability, estate planning, and civil litigation. Gabrielle R. Valentine

Gabrielle Renea Valentine was born and raised in Rutherford County, North Carolina. After obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Gabrielle attended Charlotte School of Law. She worked as a paralegal at Tomblin, Farmer, and Morris, PLLC before and during law school. Upon passing the North Carolina state bar exam, Gabrielle joined the firm as an attorney. Gabrielle practices primarily in the areas of worker’s compensation, personal injury, criminal defense, family law, and civil litigation. She strives to help every client overcome obstacles whether small or great, even in what might be the most difficult times of their lives. Gabrielle is married to Joshua Robert Valentine.

Andrea G. Farmer

One of the most rewarding aspects of the practice of law is the opportunity to help those individuals who have the greatest needs. That’s why Andrea enjoys representing her clients and providing each and every case with personal attention. That’s also why Andrea went beyond her law degree and became a North Carolina Certified Specialist in Social Security Disability Law, certified by the North Carolina State Bar. After graduating from Wofford College in 2000 with two degrees - a B.S. in Business Economics and a B.A. in Government, Andrea attended the University of North Carolina School of Law, where she obtained her Juris Doctorate in 2004, along with her husband, Josh. She and Josh then joined attorney A. Clyde Tomblin in Spindale, North Carolina, and formed the firm of Tomblin & Farmer. At first, Andrea handled several areas of practice, but as time passed, a primary focus of her practice became representing Social Security Disability claimants, individuals can no longer support themselves due to an unforeseen injury or illness. In 2013, Andrea completed all of the requirements, including a very difficult examination, to become a Certified Specialist in Social Security Disability law. Andrea has a heart to help people, and she has devoted her practice to helping those who cannot help themselves. Her clients are often some of the most destitute individuals in our society, and she works hard to bring a glimmer of hope to their lives. She strives to provide a superior level of personal service to her clients and to give them a voice in their claim, all while navigating them through a very complicated, backlogged system. Practicing Social Security law has been very rewarding for her, and she now serves on the committee for the North Carolina State Bar Board of Legal Specialization for Social Security Disability Law. Andrea also handles probate matters and special proceedings. She assists individuals who are going through difficult times, caused by the loss of a loved one, by navigating the probate process and making it as easy as possible. Joshua B. Farmer

Joshua B. Farmer was born in Hendersonville, North Carolina, but has lived in Rutherford County since 1986. Upon his admission to the bar, Josh joined the firm of Tomblin and Perry Attorneys in Spindale, North Carolina. Currently, Josh is a partner in Farmer & Morris Law, PLLC. Since beginning his practice, Josh has been serving the citizens of Western North Carolina and Upstate South Carolina for their legal needs. His practice focuses on bankruptcy matters and civil litigation. This includes representing individual and business debtors in bankruptcy in their Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 matters. Josh is married to Andrea G. Farmer and has one son, Thomas Bradley Farmer.
