Jennifer is a partner in the firm and practices primarily in the areas of Social Security disability law and Criminal Defense. She graduated from Hamline University School of Law in 1997 and has been practicing with this firm ever since that time. Beginning her career as a paralegal while simultaneously attending law school, she advanced through the firm-first as an associate attorney and now as a managing partner. Committed to improving the Social Security system, Jennifer strives to find solutions to persistent procedural challenges by working collaboratively with clients and engaging with the Social Security Administration. She is a sustaining member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives (NOSSCR), a prominent organization that supports advocacy, continuing education, and policy input for disability representatives. Jennifer is also committed to ensuring defendants get proper representation and strives to get good and reasonable results through the court system. She has led Hoglund & Mrozik’s criminal defense team and associate attorneys to establish protocols with clients to make it as easy as possible to navigate the system. Robert J. Hoglund
Robert J. Hoglund is a graduate of Hamline University School of Law, Robert Hoglund founded Hoglund & Mrozik P.L.L.C. in 1990. After four years of refining the procedures and protocols necessary to provide new beginnings to bankruptcy clients successfully, Robert took the next step in expanding his firm to include Social Security Disability law. Applying the same foundations he developed through experience in Bankruptcy law- personal client contact and competent employees- the Social Security Disability practice was prosperous. Robert’s deep expertise in these areas of law led to the expansion of the firm from Minnesota to Wisconsin and Missouri. Equipped with a passion for building upon his business and providing his clients with stellar service, Hoglund law has only grown since its inception. After spending nearly three decades owning and operating a successful Bankruptcy and Social Security Disability Law firm, Robert knows the complexities behind effective legal advertising. Andrew W. Kinney
Andrew Kinney, Esq., graduated from De Smet Jesuit High School in St. Louis, the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, and Marquette Law School in Milwaukee. He was on Marquette Law Review from 1990-92. He is licensed to practice law in Minnesota, Ohio, New York, and Wisconsin. He began practicing Social Security Disability Benefits Law in 1992. He is a former trustee and current member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives (NOSSCR). He is the founding chair of the Minnesota State Bar Association’s Social Security Disability Law Section. He has published a free guide to Social Security hearings: The Social Security Benefits Hearing: A Client’s Legal Guide. He is also an editor of The Social Security Practice Guide, a five volume legal set published by Matthew Bender. For fun, he runs ultramarathons. He has spoken on Social Security Disability law at local, state, and national legal conferences. His subjects have included expert cross-examination, legal writing, and effective oral argument.

Sarah N. Anderson
Sarah Anderson joined Hoglund Law in 2014. She started working as a paralegal before receiving her law degree from Mitchell Hamline School of Law and becoming a member of the Minnesota State Bar. Sarah primarily practices in Social Security Disability law. Sarah also assists in Criminal Defense cases. While working as a paralegal Sarah has helped clients with their Social Security claims at all levels, from filing applications to appealing decisions to the Appeals Council. Sarah became an attorney after helping clients prepare for their upcoming hearings. She heard their stories and their hardships, Sarah realized she wanted to be able to help clients advocate their case at the hearings. Sarah’s favorite part of her job is letting clients know that they have been approved, the happiness and relief they feel is obvious and heartwarming. Prior to completing law school, Sarah attended the University of Minnesota - Duluth where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Cellular and Molecular Biology. Sarah has taken numerous courses relating to medicine throughout her education, ranging from medical terminology to advanced anatomy courses. Working in Social Security Disability law allows Sarah to combine two of her passions, medicine and law. Sarah is also a second-degree black belt in Karate, which she has been practicing for over 14 years.

Nicholas Juliano
Nicholas Juliano, Esq., began his criminal law career in law enforcement. After finishing his master’s degree in criminal justice, Nicholas decided to end his career in law enforcement and pursue a career as an attorney that focused on criminal law. During law school, Nicholas worked as a summer intern at the criminal defense law firm of Brockton D. Hunter, P.A. He also worked as a student attorney for Minneapolis City Attorney’s Office, Brooklyn Park City Attorney’s Office, and Ramsey County Attorney’s Office. After graduating from law school, Nicholas worked as a General Practice attorney for 3 years, which included working on criminal defense cases. Nicholas is currently one of Hoglund Law’s Criminal Defense attorneys. In his free time, Nicholas enjoys watching football (SKOL Vikings!) and going to concerts.

Matthew C. Garner
Matt is a Social Security Disability Attorney in our Milwaukee branch. He received his Bachelor in Arts from Aquinas College with a double major in Political Science and History earning Magna Cum Laude honors. Matt played both collegiate Soccer and Tennis earning All-Conference 6 times (4 in Tennis, 2 in Soccer) as well as being a 4 time Academic All-American. After Aquinas Matt went to Marquette University for law school. While at Marquette, Matt earned the CALI Award of Excellence for best grade in class in both Professional Sports Law and Using Statutes Skillfully as an Advocate and Counselor. Matt was also a member for the Marquette Sports Law Review where he edited and reviewed articles before publication. He also participated on the Moot Court team for the National Baseball Arbitration Competition in New Orleans, LA. Further, Matt had an article published: Time to Move on? Franchise Relocation in MLS, Antitrust Implications . . . and the Hope That FIFA Is Not Watching 16 Sports Law Journal 159 (2009). Since joining Hoglund Law Offices in 2009, Matt routinely will advocate in over 500 Hearings a year on behalf of Hoglund clients. The aspect of being able to assist people when they’re at their greatest need is one of the major reasons why Matt decided to become an attorney. Joining Hoglund Law Offices was a great fit in being able to help people primarily throughout the state of Wisconsin but also throughout the Midwest. When he is not working, Matt liked to continue to try and play as many sports as possible including soccer, golf, volleyball, and kickball among others. When not playing sports, Matt likes to take his dog on hikes or to parks around the Milwaukee area as well as going back home to spend time with family.

Karli Buchanan
Karli is an associate attorney practicing with Hoglund Law, primarily focusing on Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases. She is admitted to practice in both the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota and the District Court for the State of Minnesota. Karli graduated with a B.A. degree in Government from The University of Texas at Austin in 2021. She then graduated from the University of Oregon School of Law with her juris doctorate. During law school, Karli studied primarily business law and sports and entertainment law. After graduation, Karli moved to Minnesota and began working as a law clerk in Anoka County in the Tenth Judicial District of Minnesota. Working at Hoglund Law as a bankruptcy attorney allows Karli the opportunity to combine her business law interest with her desire to help individuals navigate the legal system. She is excited to work with clients to bring them the fresh start and financial relief they desire. Outside the office, Karli enjoys spending time with family, trying new restaurants around the Twin Cities, and attending various sporting events.
