Michael J. Pappa
Since 2007, Attorney Michael J. Pappa has been honored as a New Jersey Super Lawyer in criminal defense by New Jersey Monthly Magazine, putting him in a small and select group of criminal attorneys. In 2011, he was made a member of the Nation Trial Lawyers Top 100 Trial Lawyers by meeting the standards of excellence for selection. Mr. Pappa began his career in 1978 as Assistant Monmouth County Prosecutor, starting in the juvenile division and working his way up the ranks handling all types of cases, including several murder prosecutions and other major crimes. He recently participated as an instructor in courtroom testimony for members of the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office. Mr. Pappa’s experience in criminal defense also extends to juvenile matters with the specialized knowledge needed to understand and deal with the nuances of the juvenile justice system. Over the years, Mr. Pappa’s trial experience has provided him with the basis to successfully represent clients in personal injury and sexual harassment cases. His personal injury verdicts include a million-dollar plus award in a motorcycle accident case. Joseph A. Ginarte
Joseph A. Ginarte is the founding partner and general counsel of the firm. His background as a factory worker, and his father's work injury, inspired him to pursue a legal career representing workers. He earned his J.D. from Rutgers School of Law and launched his career in 1982. He has achieved numerous multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements, including a $9.5 million settlement in a construction accident case. Ginarte is recognized for his commitment to clients and has been an appointee to the New Jersey Supreme Court’s Civil Practice Committee and a former president of the Top 100 National Trial Lawyer by the National Trial Lawyers Association. He is admitted to practice law in New York, New Jersey, and Washington, D.C. He is also involved in charitable work.
Mark W. Davis, Esq.
Mr. Davis is a co-founder of Davis & Brusca and the firm’s managing partner. He has devoted his practice to helping seriously injured people and their families for over 20 years, and has recovered millions of dollars on behalf of his clients. Howard N. Wiener
Howard Wiener received his bachelor’s degree from Rutgers College and his law degree from Seton Hall University. After law school, he was Law Secretary to the Honorable Julius A. Feinberg, J.S.C., in the Essex County Superior Court. He was an Assistant Essex County Prosecutor for four years. He then became an Assistant Prosecutor in Union County for ten years. He had several assignments, including eight years as supervisor of the investigative units, which included homicide, sex crimes, economic crimes, child abuse, arson, drugs, and welfare fraud. While serving as Investigations Supervisor, he was cross-designated as a Special Assistant United States Attorney and worked with the Newark Federal Strike Force on an organized crime investigation. He joined Tobin Kessler in 1988 and for the past thirty-five years has been handling personal injury cases, primarily premises liability and auto crash cases. He has had more than 150 jury trials go to verdict and has been certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney for 30 years, a distinction held by a small percentage of New Jersey lawyers. He has been designated by the Superior Courts in Hudson, Union, and Middlesex Counties to serve as an Arbitrator for mandatory arbitrations of personal injury cases. Arbitrators must be highly experienced in handling these cases to be appointed to the arbitration panels. Mr. Wiener is dedicated to compensating people who were injured because of someone else’s negligence.
