Richard F. Brian, now retired from Brian Law Offices, received his J.D. from the University of Akron School of Law in 1982 and a B.A. summa cum laude from Western State College in 1979. He successfully argued a case before the Ohio Supreme Court, leading to a major change in Ohio Workers Compensation Law. He has been recognized as a SuperLawyer and served on various committees for the Ohio Association of Justices.

Steven G. Thomakos

Steve received his J.D. from The University Of Akron, School Of Law. His first job as an attorney was with The Stark County Public Defender’s Office. After which he spent time with Ohio’s Fifth District Court of Appeals. In 1990, Steve started his own private practice, which included working on workers compensation law in 1992. He also taught business law to night students for a year at Kent State University, Tuscarawas campus. Steve has been a trial lawyer for the most part with experience in Appellate work as well. Steve is a tremendous asset to the team, bringing years of experience in all aspects of helping injured workers in Ohio navigate their worker’s compensation claims.

Aaron A. Bucco

Aaron was raised by a hard-working family and community. After attending Denison University and graduating with honors in 2003, he went on to attend law school at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh on a full academic scholarship. There he was the Editor-In-Chief of the Duquesne Business Law Journal and clerked for multiple downtown law firms before earning his Juris Doctorate in 2006. Aaron returned to Ohio and was admitted to practice law later that year. Since 2008, Aaron has been dedicated to helping injured workers throughout Ohio. He understands the significant impact a work-related injury can have on an individual and their family. He also appreciates how overwhelming it can be to navigate the Ohio worker’s compensation system without an experienced attorney in your cornver. Brittney Michael

Brittney Michael is a dedicated Associate Attorney driven by a passion for helping others through legal knowledge. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, magna cum laude, from Youngstown State University in 2021. She received her Juris Doctor from The University of Akron School of Law in 2024. During her studies, she interned with Community Legal Aid, was a member of Pi Sigma Alpha, worked with the Inmate Assistance Program, clerked at a private law firm, and volunteered with the University of Akron Legal Clinic to help individuals with Certificates of Qualification for Employment (CQEs). Brittney passed the Ohio Bar Examination in July 2024 and was sworn in as an attorney on November 12, 2024. She enjoys reading, documentaries, pickleball, trying new recipes, and spending time with loved ones and her dog, Lucy.

Gregory J. McCleery

Greg McCleery is the founder of McCleery Law Firm. He initially focused on energy law, assisting with title research, leasing negotiations, and curative title work in the oil and gas industry. He expanded the firm into family law and oil and gas as core practices, building a reputation for client-focused service. Under his leadership, the firm grew to be the largest in Tuscarawas County with multiple branch offices. He is passionate about providing quality legal representation to underserved markets, leveraging technology, and mentoring new legal practitioners. Greg was awarded the Perantinides & Nolan Scholarship for public service during law school at the University of Akron School of Law. He volunteered at Housing Advocates, Inc. and Southeast Ohio Legal Services, and is active in his local church and the Tuscarawas County Bar Association, serving four terms as President. He also assists domestic violence victims through the Ohio Attorney General’s Victims of Crime program.

Moufid Sayej

Moufid Sayej is an Associate Attorney at McCleery Law Firm, known for his strong courtroom presence, analytical skills, and commitment to client advocacy. Inspired by his family's emphasis on education and service, he aims to use law for meaningful change. He earned a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Youngstown State University and a Juris Doctor from Capital University Law School in 2024. He passed the Ohio Bar Exam with a UBE-qualifying score and was sworn in as an attorney in November 2024. Moufid has experience in criminal defense, successfully securing a not guilty verdict in a jury trial early in his career. He completed judicial externships with Magistrate Judge Kimberly A. Jolson (U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio) and Justice Michael Donnelly (The Supreme Court of Ohio). He works across diverse practice areas including criminal, civil, and family law, and enjoys jet skiing, home renovation, and spending time with family. He is fluent in two languages.
