Steven J. Errante

Steven J. Errante is a partner in the law firm of Lynch, Traub, Keefe & Errante, where he practices primarily in the areas of medical malpractice and personal injury law. Attorney Errante lectures and teaches extensively. He is also active in the Connecticut Bar Association and the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association. Steve has been with the law firm for 36 years, 31 years as a partner and over 15 years on the firm’s management committee. His principle areas of practice involve complex cases representing individuals with catastrophic personal injuries. Steve has obtained verdicts and settlements of millions of dollars throughout the state of Connecticut in both state and federal court. In addition to managing the civil litigation portion of the firm, Steve teaches and lectures extensively. He has taught trial practice as an adjunct professor at Quinnipiac University School of Law for 25 years and before that taught at the university level for 10 years. He has been lecturing to lawyers around the state of Connecticut since the mid 1980s and continues to conduct several lectures every year. Steve has served as Chairperson for the Connecticut Lawyers Advisory Committee from 1990-2013. The advisory committee is in charge of the publication of the official Connecticut Bar Association magazine called The Connecticut Lawyer. Steve has also chaired, since 2004, the New Haven County Bar Association Committee on Recommendations for Admission to the Bar from 2001-2014. This committee makes recommendations to the Statewide Grievance Committee regarding various lawyers and whether or not they are fit for the practice of law. Steve also devotes time to community service, having served on the Board of Directors of the South Central Connecticut Red Cross and presently on the Executive Board of the Children’s Community Programs of Connecticut, Inc., as vice president. This nonprofit corporation’s mission statement is to provide diverse and creative support services to children and families throughout Connecticut to ensure that “every child counts.”

Richard W. Lynch

Richard W. Lynch is a partner in the law firm of Lynch, Traub, Keefe & Errante, P. C. He was admitted to the Connecticut Bar in November of 1987. Mr. Lynch was admitted to the U.S. District Court, District of Connecticut in 1988 and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Second Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court in 1992. Mr. Lynch was educated at the Florida Institute of Technology (A.S., 1980; B.S., cum laude, 1983) and the Quinnipiac College School of Law (J.D., 1987). As part of his worker’s compensation practice, Mr. Lynch has represented clients at informal hearings, pre-formal hearings and formal hearings. He has successfully appealed cases to the Connecticut Compensation Review Board and Connecticut Appellate Court. Mr. Lynch also has an active criminal practice and handles infractions, misdemeanors, and felonies in state and federal courts. He has successfully represented clients at trial and obtained acquittals for defendants facing serious charges and significant jail exposure. He has also successfully represented individuals at the Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles and helped avoid license suspensions and restrictions. Mr. Lynch is a member of the New Haven County and Connecticut Bar Associations. He is also a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Connecticut Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association.

Ron Murphy

Attorney Ron Murphy is the owner and principal trial lawyer of Advocates Law Firm. He graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1983. His practice focuses on helping people injured by malpractice or accident and defending those accused of criminal or professional misconduct. He is licensed in Connecticut and Massachusetts.

Marisa A. Bellair

Marisa is a partner in the law firm of Lynch, Traub, Keefe & Errante. Marisa is an experienced litigator who primarily focuses on medical malpractice, personal injury, and other complex civil litigation matters in both state and federal state courts. Throughout her career, Marisa has achieved many successful outcomes for her clients both in and out of the courtroom. She has secured numerous multi-million-dollar verdicts and settlements on behalf of her clients, including a $4 million verdict against the State of Connecticut following a fatal interstate accident, and a $2.7 million verdict for medical malpractice for failure to diagnose cancer, to name just a few. Marisa was also involved in a sexual abuse case that yielded a $12.5 million settlement. She has also been an instrumental part of many of the firms numerous other multi-million-dollar medical malpractice, personal injury, product liability and sexual assault verdicts and settlements. Marisa has distinguished herself as a vigilant and dedicated attorney who pays particular attention to even the smallest details in her cases. Her unique ability to command both the facts and the legal principles of cases form the cornerstone of both her and her firm’s numerous successes. Marisa is admitted to practice law in the State of Connecticut, the State of New York, the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. In addition to trial work, Marisa has also argued numerous appeals before the Connecticut Supreme and Appellate Courts and also the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Marisa is active with the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association (CTLA) and currently serves as the President of the organization. She also serves on the CTLA’s Executive Committee, Board of Governors, Medical Malpractice Committee, General Tort Committee, Continuing Legal Education Committee and Communications Committee. She is a current co-chair of the General Tort Committee, the past co-chair of the Communications Committee, and the past chair of the Women’s Caucus. In addition, she has served as the co-chair and has been involved with various fundraisers sponsored by the CTLA, which have raised funds for Habitat for Humanity, The Newtown Memorial Fund, Wounded Warrior Project and the Connecticut Cancer Foundation, among others. Marisa is also an active member of the American Association for Justice (AAJ). Marisa is also a member of the Connecticut Bar Association (CBA). She previously served as the Vice-President of the New Haven County Bar Association Young Lawyers’ Division and was a member of the Public Service Committee. Marisa also routinely serves as a judge for local Moot Court and Mock Trial competitions. In her spare time, Marisa enjoys spending time with her husband, three boys and dogs, doing all of the things active boys like to do, such as skiing, swimming, hiking, and biking.

Donald R. Beebe

Donald R. Beebe is a native of Bozrah, CT, who founded Beebe & O'Neil in 1976. He practices personal injury, criminal law, civil litigation, and commercial litigation. He was admitted to the Connecticut bar in 1975 and has also been admitted to the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Court, Mohegan Gaming Disputes Court, U.S. District Court District of Connecticut, U.S. Court of Appeals 2nd Circuit, and U.S. Supreme Court. He received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1975 and his B.A. cum laude in Government and Philosophy from Harvard University in 1972.

Donn A. Swift

Donn A. Swift first joined the firm in 1982 and has spent his entire legal career with Lynch, Traub, Keefe and Errante. He practices in the field of civil litigation and has tried cases in almost every court in the state. Donn’s area of practice includes the full scope of personal injury practice, including motor vehicle, premises liability, and product liability. In recent years, in addition to resolving many cases through settlement, Donn has tried cases that include soft tissue injuries from a motor vehicle accident, premises liability cases involving serious personal injuries, and wrongful death matters. Donn has advised clients on matters involving thousands as well as millions of dollars. In 1978, Donn and his wife Nancy left Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts, and moved to San Francisco where Donn attended the University of San Francisco School of Law. Donn graduated magna cum laude in 1981 and returned home to Connecticut with Nancy and daughters Jennifer and Elizabeth, who were born in San Francisco. After starting with Lynch, Traub, Keefe & Errante in 1982, his son Daniel was born the following year. Donn is now the proud grandfather of two grandsons, Cullen and Eli. Donn learned the practice of law from the firm’s Founding Partner William Lynch, as well as Steve Traub, the Chairman of the Civil Litigation Department at the firm. In addition to being trained in the law, Bill and Steve also instilled in Donn the qualities of hard work and integrity.
