Steve has also chaired, since 2004, the New Haven County Bar Association Committee on Recommendations for Admission to the Bar from 2001-2014. This committee makes recommendations to the Statewide Grievance Committee regarding various lawyers and whether or not they are fit for the practice of law. Steve also devotes time to community service, having served on the Board of Directors of the South Central Connecticut Red Cross and presently on the Executive Board of the Children’s Community Programs of Connecticut, Inc., as vice president. This nonprofit corporation’s mission statement is to provide diverse and creative support services to children and families throughout Connecticut to ensure that “every child counts.”

Richard W. Lynch

Richard W. Lynch is a partner in the law firm of Lynch, Traub, Keefe & Errante, P. C. He was admitted to the Connecticut Bar in November of 1987. Mr. Lynch was admitted to the U.S. District Court, District of Connecticut in 1988 and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Second Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court in 1992. Mr. Lynch was educated at the Florida Institute of Technology (A.S., 1980; B.S., cum laude, 1983) and the Quinnipiac College School of Law (J.D., 1987). As part of his worker’s compensation practice, Mr. Lynch has represented clients at informal hearings, pre-formal hearings and formal hearings. He has successfully appealed cases to the Connecticut Compensation Review Board and Connecticut Appellate Court. Mr. Lynch also has an active criminal practice and handles infractions, misdemeanors, and felonies in state and federal courts. He has successfully represented clients at trial and obtained acquittals for defendants facing serious charges and significant jail exposure. He has also successfully represented individuals at the Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles and helped avoid license suspensions and restrictions. Donn A. Swift

Donn A. Swift first joined the firm in 1982 and has spent his entire legal career with Lynch, Traub, Keefe and Errante. He practices in the field of civil litigation and has tried cases in almost every court in the state. Donn’s area of practice includes the full scope of personal injury practice, including motor vehicle, premises liability, and product liability. In recent years, in addition to resolving many cases through settlement, Donn has tried cases that include soft tissue injuries from a motor vehicle accident, premises liability cases involving serious personal injuries, and wrongful death matters. Donn has advised clients on matters involving thousands as well as millions of dollars. In 1978, Donn and his wife Nancy left Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts, and moved to San Francisco where Donn attended the University of San Francisco School of Law. Donn graduated magna cum laude in 1981 and returned home to Connecticut with Nancy and daughters Jennifer and Elizabeth, who were born in San Francisco. After starting with Lynch, Traub, Keefe & Errante in 1982, his son Daniel was born the following year. Donn is now the proud grandfather of two grandsons, Cullen and Eli. Donn learned the practice of law from the firm’s Founding Partner William Lynch, as well as Steve Traub, the Chairman of the Civil Litigation Department at the firm.
