After working in Washington, D.C. as a law and policy associate, Moughania returned to Michigan to co-found a boutique law practice focusing on international business law, trademark law, and nonprofit law. Within a year, Moughania’s transactional practice was acquired by a midsize firm complementing its established litigation practice to better serve the needs of its diverse clients. After helping build this platform, he took an opportunity to serve his clients and expand his base at two of the top firms in Michigan. Moughania has represented and advised international organizations with yearly gross revenues of $100+ million and spanning operations across North America, Africa, Europe, and the Middle East. He has managed the trademark portfolios of established name brands and celebrities with millions of followers. In this role, she played a crucial role in environmental enforcement actions, administrative permit disputes, and real estate plat revisions for agencies such as the Michigan Departments of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) and Natural Resources (DNR). Her negotiation skills were instrumental in helping her agency clients avoid costly litigation through settlement agreements. Nadia also has an impressive track record in Florida, where she served as a Senior Attorney with the Florida Department of Financial Services (DFS) in its Contracts and Rulemaking Division and as a Deputy Chief Attorney with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) in its Real Estate Division. At DFS, she drafted and negotiated state contracts, while at DBPR, she managed real estate license compliance enforcement and resolved disputes related to broker-held earnest money deposits. Nadia earned her Juris Doctorate from Wayne State University Law School, where she actively participated in the Environmental Law Clinic and even authored an Amicus Brief to the U.S. Supreme Court concerning the Asian carp invasive species in the Great Lakes. During her time in law school, Nadia also gained practical experience as a litigation law clerk at a mid-sized firm specializing in real estate and mortgage-related matters, providing her with a deep understanding of real estate and real estate finance contract issues. After obtaining her license to practice, Nadia served that firm as a loan mediation specialist before launching her own practice, where she represented and counseled individuals and small businesses in business, finance, and real estate contract negotiations and disputes.
