Christopher T. Longmore

He also represents clients in personal injury matters. Chris handles many estate planning and probate matters, including drafting of wills and trusts, powers of attorney, advance healthcare directives, revocable and irrevocable trusts, and estate and trust administration. Chris regularly appears before the St. Mary’s County Planning Commission and the St. Mary’s County Board of Appeals on all ranges for zoning and development projects, including large-scale commercial and residential development, critical area and other variances, conditional use approvals, and zoning map amendments. Chris received his law degree, magna cum laude, from the Georgetown University Law Center in 1997, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the American Criminal Law Review, Order of the Coif, and a Writing Law Fellow. Chris served as a law clerk for the Honorable William M. Nickerson, District Judge, in the United States District Court of Maryland immediately after law school. Chris joined Dugan, McKissick, and Longmore in 2000, after serving as an associate attorney at Hogan Lovells (formerly Hogan & Hartson, LLC). A graduate of St. Mary’s Ryken High School, Chris is involved in many community and service activities, including the St. Mary’s County Chamber of Commerce, where he currently serves as Chair of the Government Affairs Committee.
