TROY A. LUNDQUIST

Troy Lundquist is a founding partner of the firm, practicing exclusively in litigation and business-related matters. His clients include professionals, trucking companies, manufacturers, public utilities, construction companies, and local government units. He has litigated cases across Illinois and successfully argued before the Illinois Supreme Court and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. His expertise covers medical malpractice, natural gas explosion, construction, products liability, and governmental defense. He is a nominated Illinois Super Lawyer for 2014.

STEVEN R. JOHNSON

Steven R. Johnson is an active trial attorney admitted to practice in Illinois and several Federal Courts across multiple states. His practice areas include Catastrophic Loss Litigation (Subrogation and Defense), Insurance Coverage Litigation, Commercial Litigation, Commercial Real Estate Development and Property Leasing, defending Complex Class Action Claims under Consumer Fraud Statutes, and Appellate Practice. He has tried complex large loss property subrogation cases to verdict and obtained multi-million-dollar awards. He also serves as outside general counsel for various businesses.

Michael Brandow

Michael Brandow is licensed to practice law in all Illinois Courts, the U.S. District Court and before the Illinois Workers Compensation Commission. His area of focus is Workers Compensation cases. Michael provides smart and aggressive legal counsel, and has spent three decades helping protect the rights of workers. He’s a graduate of Bradley University (BA ’76) and John Marshall Law School (JD ’81).

Matthew A. Brewer

Matthew Brewer is licensed to practice law in all Illinois Courts, the U.S. District Court and before the Illinois Workers Compensation Commission. His areas of focus are Personal Injury and Workers Compensation. Known as an aggressive litigator, Matthew has taken many cases to trial and obtained substantial awards for his clients. A graduate of the Southern Illinois University School of Law, he was named an Emerging Lawyer, a distinction awarded to the top 2% of lawyers age 40 or younger. During law school Matthew was president of the Sports Law Society and prior to his legal career played professional baseball in the Arizona Diamondbacks organization.

SUZANNE FAVIA GILLEN

Suzanne Gillen is a founding partner of Langhenry, Gillen, Lundquist and Johnson, LLC, admitted to practice law in November 1987. She concentrates her practice in healthcare and medical malpractice defense, general and civil tort liability, and employment litigation. She has successfully tried numerous cases to verdict involving catastrophic injuries and wrongful death, and resolved many cases through mediation and arbitration. She also speaks to physicians' groups on risk management.

Jennifer Bonesteel

Jennifer Bonesteel is licensed to practice in all Illinois and Indiana Courts as well as the U.S. District Courts for Illinois and Indiana. Her areas of practice include: Trial litigation, Motor vehicle collisions, Semi truck accidents, Nursing home negligence cases, Premises liability, Governmental entity cases, including municipalities, park districts, school districts, etc., Dram shop, Police and Firefighters’ PSEBA benefits, pension benefits, and those clients’ employment related issues, Appellate practice.

SAMANTHA A. GUTTENBERG

Samantha Guttenberg joined the firm in 2022, concentrating her practice in civil litigation, including nursing home and medical malpractice defense, employment defense, and premises and product liability claims. She has experience in family law and employment matters. She received her Juris Doctor in 2019 from DePaul University and also works as an adjunct college professor.
