Thomas J. Wynn
Thomas J. Wynn, a founding partner of Wynn & Wynn, is a recognized leader of the state’s legal community. Admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 1969, he is a former Special Attorney General for the Commonwealth and past President of the Massachusetts Bar Association. He is an active member of the American Bar Association and the American Trial Lawyers Association. Having practiced and lectured for many years in the area of civil litigation and business law, Mr. Wynn’s practice involves complex personal injury cases and complex business matters, negotiations and litigation. He has lectured before the National Sports Lawyers Association, the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Lawyers and the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education program. A graduate of Providence College and Suffolk University Law School, Mr. Wynn was awarded an honorary Doctor of Laws by Suffolk University Law School in 1982 and has served as an elected member of the school’s Board of Trustees. He also served as a Trustee of Roger Williams University.

Paul F. Wynn
Paul F. Wynn, a founding partner of Wynn & Wynn, is an experienced trial attorney, having served as an Assistant District Attorney and Special Assistant Attorney General. He has represented clients in all state and federal courts in Massachusetts. Admitted to the state Bar in 1969, Mr. Wynn’s background includes substantial trial work in business litigation, product liability, criminal law, nursing home liability, medical malpractice, automobile injuries and liquor liabilities. Mr. Wynn is a member of the Board of Trustees for Justice Resource Institute. He is a graduate of Providence College and Suffolk University Law School. He is a member of the American and Massachusetts Bar Associations, in addition to the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Lawyers. He is also on the Board of Governors of the Massachusetts Trial Lawyers Association, and American Trial Lawyers Association. He is now a Trustee Emeritus at Providence College.

Merrill J. Friedemann
Merrill Friedemann co-founded our firm in 2012 after a long career as a plaintiff attorney and debt collection attorney with other Rhode Island firms. Attorney Friedemann is known for pursuing each of her clients’ cases with zeal, and has tried cases throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts courts, and pursued appeals to the Rhode Island Supreme Court and First Circuit Court of appeals. A graduate of Boston College and Suffolk University Law School, Mr. O’Day is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys. Attorney Kathleen E. Nelson joined our firm in 2018. For the twenty-seven years prior to joining our firm, Attorney Nelson practiced as an insurance defense attorney at the Law Offices of Patricia E. Fraizer in Boston, the Hartford Insurance Group’s New England Staff Counsel. She held the position of Senior Trial Counsel and gained extensive trial experience in both state and federal courts in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. She has tried numerous cases to verdict and has experience defending general liability, products liability, toxic tort, lead paint, head injury cases, municipal liability, and medical malpractice matters.

Garrett L. Boatright
Garrett Boatright joined Gianfrancesco, Friedemann and Microulis as an associate in 2022.
