Roger Wotila

Roger Wotila, a graduate of the University of Michigan Law School, is a successful trial attorney with national and state awards. Patrick Cherry

Patrick Cherry, a U.S. Air Force veteran, received his B.A. from the University of Michigan in 2012 and graduated from Wayne State University Law School in 2015. He joined McCurdy, Wotila & Porteous in April 2016 and focuses on advocacy in various litigation types including criminal, civil, probate, and family law. He was named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers in 2020 and 2021.

David L. Porteous

David L. Porteous graduated from Michigan State University Cum Laude in 1974 and received his Juris Doctorate with distinction from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. He has practiced law in Western Michigan since 1978. He is lead director of Huntington Bancshares Inc. and has served on numerous boards, including the Michigan Economic Development Corporation and Michigan State University Board of Trustees.

Michael A. Figliomeni

Michael A. Figliomeni earned his B.A. from the University of Toledo in 1979 and his J.D. from Villanova University in 1982. He began practicing in Maine, then moved to Michigan in 1984, joining the firm in 1990 and becoming a partner. He is a Fellow of the Michigan State Bar Foundation.

Nathan Piwowarski has been practicing law since 2007, specializing in estate planning, estate administration, elder law, and contested estates. He is a shareholder of the firm and a council member of the Michigan Bar’s Probate and Estate Planning Section.

Cynthia Wotila

Cynthia Wotila graduated Summa Cum Laude from St. Joseph’s College and received her Juris Doctorate from The University of Notre Dame in 1983. She has been in private practice for over 20 years, joining McCurdy, Wotila & Porteous in 1987. She specializes in appellate work, real estate property tax appeals, and municipal zoning and planning.

Patti O’Dell received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Central Michigan University in 1995, her Master of Science in Taxation from Walsh College in 2002, and her Juris Doctorate from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2006. She joined the firm in February 2023 and practices in Estate Planning, Estate and Trust Administration, Business Law, Taxation issues, and Real Estate.
