Sean S. Modjarrad

Sean Modjarrad is the Managing Shareholder and founder of MAS Law. He has a diverse litigation history of more than 675 cases in Texas courts and more than 100 cases in federal courts. He has dedicated his life to fighting for justice and providing a voice for the voiceless. Sean has been an integral part of many high-profile cases through his career. For example, he played a significant role in the 2006 Good vs. The City of Irving and Detective Curtis suit in which a new law was enacted by the Fifth Circuit Federal Court of Appeals from Mr. Good being wrongfully accused of burglary of habitation with intent to commit theft, rape, and sexual abuse. He is admitted to practice in the State of Texas, Federal Court for the Northern District of Texas, Federal Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Federal Court for Western District of Texas, and Federal Court for Fifth Circuit. Sean earned his Juris Doctor from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University. Prior to that, he received his Master of Accountancy and MBA from Brock School of Business at Samford University and his B.S. in Accounting from the University of North Texas. Sean’s legal work has won him several prestigious awards and distinctions. He has been selected to Super Lawyers (2014-2025), effectively ranking him in the top 5 percent of lawyers in Texas. In 2014, 2015, and 2016, Sean was named one of D Magazine’s “Best Lawyers in Dallas.” He has also been recognized as Premier 100 by the American Academy of Trial Attorneys, Top 100 Trial Lawyers by The National Trial Lawyers, and America’s Top 100 Attorneys, Lifetime Achievement. Sean has blended his love for the community with his entrepreneurial acumen by investing in many small businesses around the Dallas area. He is fueled by his belief that a community and its people are strongest when they work together. Sean’s passion and commitment to the city of Dallas inspired him to utilize his standing to create a better future for Dallas’ small businesses. He served 2 years as an advisory board member for small business in Dallas County. Also, he was a founding member for the Iranian American Chamber of Commerce in Dallas, a group dedicated to serving as a business resource and advocacy arm for Iranian American business professionals and surrounding communities. He was also one of the founding members and a former president of the Iranian American Bar Association. Sean’s love for his community does not just extend to small businesses. Over his career, he has enacted a multitude of initiatives that spotlight important members of the community. His most recent, the MASter Teacher Award, recognizes one exceptional educator each month and awards them with $1000 to aid in their educational career. In addition to practicing law, Sean sits on the advisory board at his law school, Cumberland School of Law at Samford University, and serves as a board member for UNT College of Law, Visitor’s Board. Moreover, for the past 10 years, he has been an adjunct professor at the University of Texas at Dallas, teaching Race and Law and 1983 Civil Rights. Sean has been featured in numerous magazine articles and publications that have highlighted both his impressive legal career as well as his community involvement, including Attorney at Law, Newsweek, D Magazine, and Texas Monthly.

Mohammad Y. Said

Mohammad Said is a shareholder of MAS Law and has been with the firm since 2006. He is admitted to practice in the State of Texas and in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas and the Eastern District of Texas. Additionally, Mr. Said has appeared in other states through Pro Hac Vice, in which out-of-state attorneys are granted permission to participate in a particular case. Mr. Said practices primarily in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death, premises liability, and medical and dental malpractice. He has appeared as lead counsel on hundreds of cases and litigated them to fruition in all respective fields. Mr. Said is a veteran trial attorney with a stellar track record. Fueled by years of experience, his tenacity and passion in the courtroom is unmatched. His commitment to winning for his clients has proven to be an invaluable asset. Whether resolving disputes outside of the court system via the Alternative Dispute Process (ADR) or in the courtroom, Mr. Said’s commitment to seeking justice for his clients continues to drive him to be the best that he can be. Early in his career, Mr. Said represented several multi-million-dollar corporations to legally protect their business interests. He has led dozens of mergers and acquisitions, some of which involved purchase amounts in the millions of dollars. As the years went by, Mr. Said shifted his focus to representing clients who have been wronged and left with no other recourse but the court system. Being a huge advocate of our court system and a defender of the 7th Amendment (the right to a jury trial), Mr. Said has often said, “Juries and our courts are the most important and most essential out of all our branches of government.” Mr. Said earned his Juris Doctor from Texas Wesleyan University, now known as Texas A&M College of Law. Prior to that, Mr. Said attended the University of Texas at Dallas, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts. In his free time, Mr. Said enjoys spending time with his family, going to the racetrack, golfing, and fishing. He has been happily married since 2001 and is the proud father of three daughters and one son.

Mehdi Vaghefi

Mehdi Vaghefi is an associate attorney at MAS Law, practicing Personal Injury. He is a licensed member of the State Bar of Texas and Iranian Bar Association (Fars Province). Mehdi’s hard work and dedication in G.M. V. Cedar Point Apartments LP, et al. led to one of the top 100 settlements in Texas in 2024, earning him a membership in the Best of The Bar. This highly esteemed and prestigious membership is a testament to Mehdi’s unwavering commitment to his clients and his exceptional work ethic. In addition to his membership in the Best of The Bar, Mehdi is also a member of America’s Top 100 Personal Injury Attorneys in 2025. Prior to his arrival at MAS Law, Mehdi attended the University of Isfahan in Iran, where, in 2010, he earned his Bachelor of Law, L.L.B. Afterwards, Mehdi went on to receive his Master of Law, L.L.M. from Shiraz University in 2013, specializing in Public Law. After emigrating to the United States, Mehdi continued to pursue his passion for law and attended Southern Methodist University (SMU) Dedman School of Law and received an additional Master of Law, L.L.M. in 2021, this time specializing in International and Comparative Law. Mehdi’s dedication to learning every facet of the legal system has proven to be an invaluable asset to his clients. For many, the legal system is difficult to navigate, and Mehdi’s ability to guide his clients through the entire process has provided them with the justice they deserved. Shezad Malik

Dr. Shezad Malik is a unique professional, combining extensive medical expertise with legal practice. Born in England, he completed his medical studies at the University of Nottingham, becoming a licensed physician in 1984. He specialized in Internal Medicine and Cardiology, practicing for several years before pursuing a law degree from Texas Wesleyan University. Licensed to practice both law and medicine in Texas, Dr. Malik now leverages his dual background in his legal career, focusing on personal injury and medical device litigation.

He also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University. In his free time, Nazeh enjoys a nice afternoon on the golf course, and he has three sons.
