Larry E. Price

Larry E. Price, founder of Price Petho & Associates P.L.L.C., is a North Carolina native. He received his law degree from Wake Forest University, School of Law, in 1972, after earning a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from St. Andrews Presbyterian College. He worked in the insurance industry as a Claims Representative for five years post-graduation. In 1979, alongside William Benjamin Smith, Mr. Price established Price Petho & Associates P.L.L.C. and dedicated his practice to serious personal injury, wrongful death, and medical malpractice cases. Over several decades in Charlotte, Mr. Price built a reputation for fighting vigorously on behalf of those impacted by others’ negligence. Although now retired, Mr. Price’s legacy endures through the work of Price Petho & Associates, a firm committed to compassion, dedication, and aggressive advocacy. His contributions continue to inspire our attorneys as they seek justice for clients in the Charlotte community.

Attorney Douglas A. Petho is the owner and founder of Price, Petho & Associates. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Administration of Criminal Justice from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1988 and his law degree from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill in 1991. A native of Charlotte, Mr. Petho began his trial career as an Assistant District Attorney for the 1st Judicial District of North Carolina. In 1993, he joined the law firm founded by Larry E. Price, focusing primarily on plaintiff's personal injury suits. He has successfully tried hundreds of cases to jury verdict involving various accidents and intentional torts. In 2011, Mr. Petho achieved an 'AV Preeminent' rating by Martindale Hubbell, their highest possible rating in both legal ability and ethical standards. He is an active member of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice and a member of both the Personal Injury and Workers Compensation Division, as well as the North Carolina State Bar, North Carolina Bar Association, and Mecklenburg County Bar Association.

Margaret E. Ford

Attorney Margaret E. Ford, a North Carolina native, joined Price, Petho & Associates in 2020. She is dedicated to advocating for injured clients and has a passion for tort-related claims. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2016 and her Juris Doctor from Elon University School of Law in 2019. During law school, she was a member of the Moot Court Board. Prior to joining the firm, Mrs. Ford worked as a personal injury legal intern, gaining valuable experience in personal injury law.

Jason Trent Deane

After working under his father, attorney Jason Trent Deane continued the family business at Williams, Deane and Herndon. Eric Altman

Eric Altman grew up in Richmond County, NC. After receiving his Bachelor of Arts from UNC Charlotte, he went on to law school and graduated from the University of Memphis in 2001. He practiced in Charlotte and Wilmington before moving back home to Richmond County in 2011. During that time he has represented thousands of people with offenses ranging from simple traffic tickets to very serious felonies. He has also handled many personal injury cases including catastrophic injuries and wrongful death cases.

Todd Scott

As Prelipp & Scott Attorneys at Law's co-founder, Todd provides criminal defense counsel to clients in the Rockingham, North Carolina, area. Like his partner, Todd graduated from Campbell University's Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law in 1995.

Paul Prelipp

A co-founder of Prelipp & Scott Attorneys at Law, Paul focuses his practice on transactional work and real estate. He is a 1995 graduate of Campbell University's Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law and has been running his firm with Todd Scott since 1996.
